Barbara A. Dunsford

Barbara A. Dunsford, 78, retired funeral director and co-owner of Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2009.
Visitation at 9 a.m. followed by service at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 29, at St. James ‘Catholic Church in Augusta.
Survivors include: sons, Joe of Tulsa, Okla., Jack of Wichita, and John (Marge) of Augusta; daughter, Debbie (Ray) Wattenbarger of Wichita; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Louie R. Lewis

Louie R. Lewis, 85, of Augusta, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009.
Visitation 6-7 p.m. Sunday and service 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Graveside service 4 p.m. at Fields Cemetery, Dodge, Okla.
Louie was born in Belle Plaine, Kan. on Dec. 16, 1923; the son of the late William Henry and Mattie Catherine (Johnston) Lewis. He retired as a structural fatigue test mechanic from Beechcraft after 37 years. On Sept. 28, 1945 he married Wilma (Wright) in Bentonville, Ark. and she survives.
He is also survived by: son, Gary Lewis and fiance' Rebecca of Douglass; daughters, Jewel Gillis, Carol McDaniel and husband Dale, Nancy Moody and husband Larry, and Kathy Lewis all of Augusta; brothers, Lon Lewis of Seneca, Mo., and Noah Jacob Lewis of Haysville; sister, Vivian Imogene McLaughlin of Claremore. Okla.; grandsister, Sylvia Walls.
Memorials to Heartland Hospice.

Phillip D. Noble

Phillip D. Noble, 62, retired attorney and Washington State
Administrative Law Judge of Bellevue, Wash., and formerly of Augusta, died on June 21, 2009.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at St. Louise Catholic Church in Bellevue. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by: wife, Shelley; son, Michael Noble; daughter, Andrea Erickson.
Memorial donations may be made to Hopelink, Youth Eastside Services, and other Bellevue community service agencies, c/o Sunset Hills Funeral Home, 1215- 145th Place SE, Bellevue, WA 98007.

PFC Erin Michael Thomas

PFC Erin Michael Thomas, 20, soldier at Fort Bliss, Texas, passed
away briday, June 19, 2009 near Fort Bliss in E! Paso. Texas from injuries resulting from an automobile accident.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, and service 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, all at Headley Funeral Chapel,Augusta.. Military graveside rites will follow at Kuster Cemetery, Augusta.
Erin was born in Wi- 2008.
0n Aug. 8,2008, he married Kayla . Marie Thomas at Fort Jackson, Columbia, SC.
In addition to his wife he is survived by: daughter, Gracie Brayieen King Thomas; parents, Victor and Denise Lange; sister, Amber May; mother and father-in-law, Kim and Norman Hill; and father-in-law, Darryl King.
Erin was a loving husband and a devoted father.

Irene Bonbrake

Irene Bonbrake, 80, of Augusta, passed away
Thursday, June 25, 2009. Service 2 p.m. Saturday at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Burial will be at a later date at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, Calif.
Irene was born in Tooele, Utah on May 1, 1929; the daughter of the late Aaron and Merle (Eldredge) Smith. She retired as an apartment manager and she volunteered at the Historical Museum in El Dorado. She was also a pilot. She married Jack H. Jones on November 17,1949 in Ely, Nev. She married Curt Bonbrake on Nov. 24,
1965 in Ely, Nev. Curt preceded her in death in October of 1981. She was also preceded in death by son, Kent Jones, grandson Scott and brothers, Tom and Dick Smith.
She is survived by: son, Glen Jones of Green Bay, Wis; daughters, Jeannie Leffert of Augusta and Marianne Bowman of Vista, Calif.; step-son, Mitchell Bonbrake of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho; sister, Joanne Lasli and husband Richard of Orem, Utah; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the caregivers of Hospice Care of Kansas and would like memorial donations in lieu of flowers be made to Hospice Care of Kansas.
