Lawrence “Larry” S. Bell, Sr.

Lawrence' “Larry” S. Bell, Sr., 61, Andover, died on Friday, June 26. 2009.
Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at Smith Mortuary in Haysville.
Survivors: girlfriend, Jacquie Bower; daughters, Laurie Bell Smith and Sarah Bell; sons, Larry S. Bell, Jr. and Seth Bell; six grandchildren;
sisters, Shirley Czajkowski and Linda Kirkpatrick; brother, Rick Beil; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Mearline Zink

Mearline Zink, 69, Andover, retired bartender, died on Friday, June 26, 2009.
Funeral service was held this morning at Broadway Mortuary, Wichita.
Survivors include: husband, Danny of Andover; son, Mark; daughter, Shannon; brothers, Willie Padgett, Frank Padgett; sisters, Pearl Hannah, Betty Turner and Ruby Carson.
Memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Kansas or the Kansas Humane Society.

Norma Jean Poore

Norma Jean Poore, 74, homemaker, of Andover, passed away, Saturday, June 27, 2009.
Viewing 1-8 p.m. today, with family present from 6-7 p.m. and serviced 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 1 both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Norma was born in Hartshorne, Okla, on Oct. 2, 1934; the daughter of the late Raymond Lee and Frances Evadin (Crammer) Price. On March 18, 1954, she married Billy J. Poore in Wichita, and he survives.
In addition to her husband she is survived by: sons, Billy W. Poore and
wife Shari, Roy Dale Poore and wife Michelle. Keenan Poore and wife Brenda, Quincy Poore and wife Judy, all of Andover; brothers, James Price of Aliceville, Stanley Price of Orange Park, Fla., and Roger Price of Port Arthur, Texas; sisters, Winona Kimber of Pawhuska, Okla, and Brenda Blowers of El Dorado; grandchildren, Corey, Brittni, Meghan, Josi, Alison, Logan and Kameron.
She was preceded in death by son, Raymond Joseph; brother, Elwood Price; and sisters Wanda Price and Oleta Johnston. Memorials to the Faith Home Health and Hospice. .

Betty Garrett

Betty (Phillips) Garrett, passed away on June 19, 2009. Tulsa, Okla.
No service will be held.
Betty was born at home in Augusta on Nov. 15, 1938, to Austin and Henrietta (White) Phillips. She graduated from Augusta High School in 1956.
She is survived by: son, Boyd (Sonya) Webster, Jr. of Bella Vista, Ark.; daughter, Elizabeth Schoenfelt of Tulsa; brothers. John (Marilyn) Phillips and David (Sue) Phillips, all of Augusta; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, David Austin Webster, and her parents.

Dwain Eugene Van Dolah

Dwain Eugene Van Dolah, 89, Wichita, retired elementary teacher and WWII United States Army veteran, father and father-in-law of Sheri (Keith) Rooney of Augusta, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2009.
Funeral service was held this morning at Smith Mortuary in Haysville.
Other survivors: wife, Lorraine; daughters, Judy Van Dolah, Carol Stoico, and Meredith Van Dolah ; sister, Norma Jean Hawkins; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial has been established with Good Harvest Christian Church, 8330 E. Dougias, Wichita, 67206.
