Maurita R. Olivier

Maurita R. Olivier, 68, Wichita, sister to Rosemary Walls and Carol Gibson, both of Andover, died on July 17, 2009.
Survivors include: brothers, Charles Olivier,
Larry Olivier, and Bill Olivier; other sisters, Sandra Dennis and Angela Benford; a host of relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and Mercy Home Health Care.

Rev. George Bruening

Reverend Doctor George Bruening, 93, Topeka, formerly of Augusta, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009.
Kev. Bruening will lie in state after 3 p.m., with a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka. Funeral service will beat 11 a.m. on Friday, July 24, at Faith Lutheran Church in Topeka, with interment at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Rev. Bruening is survived by: daughter, Delores (Richard) McKinney; sister, Lucile Hill, and several nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lourine (Imbusch) Bruening; an infant daughter, Cheryl; brother, John, and sister, Doris.
Memorials may be designated for Faith Lutheran Church, 1716 Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66604, Topeka Lutheran School, 701 Roosevelt Street Topeka, KS 66606 or the Concordia Historical Institute of St. Louis, MO, 804 Seminary PI, St. Louis, MO 63105.

Lois Irene Legge-Simpson

Homemaker Lois Irene (Smith) Legge, 84, Andover, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009.
A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. Her Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 27, at the church.
A memorial has been established with The Lord’s Diner, 520 N. Broadway, Wichita, 67214.
The Downing & Lahey Mortuary East in Wichita is in charge of arrangements.

Johney Campbell

Johney Imogene Campbell, 81, Andover, passed way Tuesday, July 21, 2009.
She operated Jean Campbell Hairstyling in Wichita for 37 years.
Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Sunday, July 26, at First Baptist Church in Rose Hill. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Wichita.
Memorials to the Rose Hill First Baptist Church, 1206 N. Rose Hill Road, have been suggested.
