Paulette Blome

Paulette Blome, 66, Derby, retired Raytheon employee, mother and mother-in-law of Jack and Gina Hoyle of Augusta, died on Thursday, July 23, 2009.
Funeral was held yesterday at Smith Mortuary in Derby.
Other survivors include, husband, Joel; daughter, Lynda Abbondanza; sisters, Patsy Linn and Sandy Marler; five grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, 67202.

Milton E. Lytle

Lt. Col. Milton E. Lytle, 86, (USAF Ret) passed away July 26, 2009.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m., Wednesday, July 29, at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, Olathe. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. that afternoon at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Milton was born Jan. 2, 1923 in Martinsville, Ind., graduated from high school in Veedersburg, Ind., and attended Purdue University pursuing a degree in engineering.
He served on B-17th aircraft with the 95th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force based in England during WWII.
He continued his military career as a Master Navigator with the Strategic Air Command and was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, and Air Force Commendation Medal. He received his B.S. in Aeronautical .Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology. After retiring at Eglin AFB in 1965, he worked at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita as an aeronautical engineer until his retirement in 1992.
He is survived by: sister, Margaret Oaks, Canon City, Colo; his son, Michael A. Lytle, LTC (USA Ret) of Harlingen, Texas; daughters, Marsha E. Lytle of Olathe and Valerie Showalter of Leon; grandsons, Clinton W. Showalter of Leon, George S. Langdale, Ridgeway, SC, Robbie O. Borders and Kevin A. Borders of Olathe, Logan J. Borders, Winter Garden, Fla., and 1LT Eric A. Lytle, Miami, Fla.; granddaughters, Heather C. Langdale, Columbia, SC, Renee E. Borders of Olathe and Kelly A. Borders, Winter Garden, Fla.; six greatgrandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Clarence Tarvin Lytle, Flemingsburg, Ky. and mother, Hallie Plumb Lytle French, Brazil, Ind.;
wife, Geraldine Faye Young of Augusta; as well as a sisters Doris Cash, New Orleans, La., Jane Bowne, Battle Creek Mich, and brother, Ralph Lytle, Peoria, ILL.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cory Thomas Leffler Memorial Scholarship Fund at Butler Community College.
