Cory Thomas “Bud” Leffler

Cory Thomas "Bud" Leffler, 21, of Americus and formerly of Augusta,
passed away peacefully doing what he loved on Saturday, July 25, 2009.
Viewing 1-8 p.m. Wednesday with family to greet friends from 6-8 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 30,2009 at First Baptist Church, Augusta. A memorial celebration of his life will be 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the farm shop at Leffler Farms, 2431 Road C, Americus, Kan.
Cory was born in Emporia, Kan. on Oct. 18,1987; the son of Tom and Patty Leffler. Cory graduated from Augusta High School in 2006 and then attended Kansas State University. He graduated
with honors from Butler Community College Welding School. He had been working as an apprentice machinist and welder at Four Mile Carriage and Machine Shop in Emporia. Cory loved the outdoors, off-roading and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by: his parents, Tom and Patty Leffler of Augusta; fiance Sarah Clifton of Americus; brother, Chad Iseman and wife Daniela of Augusta; sister, Dr. Michelle Iseman and husband John Stamey of Manhattan; grandparents, Wayne "Jackie" and Mary Leffler of Americus; great grandmother, Mildred Leffler of Emporia; uncles, Bill Leffler and wife Cindy of Americus; and Jim Decker and wife Anna of Burlington; aunts, Peggy Anderjaska of Haigler, Neb., Margie Combes and husband Randy of Emporia, Lois Carpenter and husband Dick of Owasso, Okla., Cathy Wille and husband Sheldon of Bedford, Texas, Marcia Birk and husband
Doug of Burlington, and Linda Lewis and husband John of Burlington; nieces and nephew, Emma, Abi, and Malia Iseman and Alec Stamey; and a close family friend, James Trager.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cory Thomas Leffler Memorial Scholarship Fund at Butler Community College.

1st Lt. Jeremy Andrew Clawson, 35, Wichita, died July 2009.
A visita-tion/wake will be held at 6 p.m. this evening at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East, Wichita.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Wichita State University Hughes Metropolitan Complex, corner of 29th and Oliver, Wichita, KS. A burial service will immediately follow at Old Mission Cemetery, Wichita.
He is survived by: his wife, Cheyla and their daughter, Quiera; parents, Rodney and Aneta Clawson of Sandy, Utah, sisters, Sonja Smith of Murray, Utah, Becky Clawson and Machee Clawson, both of Sandy, Utah;
brothers, Casey Clawson of Wichita and Daniel Clawson of Draper, Utah.
