Leroy Myers

Stanley Leroy Myers, Jr., 73, of Ava, Mo., formerly of El Dorado, retired Augusta Mobil Pipeline employee, passed away on Monday, Aug. 24,2009.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 28, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava.
He was born on Oct. 18, 1935 in El Dorado, the son of Dorothy (Smith) and Stanley Leroy Myers. He married Earnesteen Morrison in 1961 and she preceded him in death on April 20, 1996. He was also preceded in death by son, Steven Todd Myers in 2004. In 2001 he married Rosezella Wade in Ava, Mo. She survives.
Other survivors include: his daughters, Teresa “Terri” Hedrick of Augusta and Robbyn Myers of Portland, Ore.; sons, Jeff Myers and Scott Myers, both of El Dorado; step daughter, Deannetta Baker; sisters, Gerry
Marsh of El Dorado and Marilyn Young of Oklahoma; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Earl Schnake

Earl Wallace Schnake, 76, Augusta, retired T & J electrician, passed away, Monday, Aug. 19, 2009.
Viewing will be 1-6 p.m. Thursday with visitation following from 6-8 p.m. when family will receive family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta.
Interment at 1p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, in Union Cemetery in Stotts City, Mo.
Earl was born in Mt. Vernon, Mo. to Lloyd John and Opal Faye (Cotting-ham) Schnake on June 26, 1933. The family moved to Augusta in 1965. He was a lifetime member of the Butler County Saddle Club.
Earl’s survivors include: his sons, Earl (Brenda) Schnake of Augusta, William (Judy) Schnake of Lisle, ILL. and Kenneth Schnake, also of Augusta; daughters, Gladys (Tom) Langford of Seneca, Mo., Brenda Huffines of Joplin, Mo., Pam Barke of Aurora, Mo. and Elicia Driskell of Olathe, Kan.; brother, John (Marge) Schnake of Pierce City, Mo.; sisters, Dorothy Doening, Faye (Bill) Swearingen and Erma Langley, all of Ozark, Mo.; Linda (Jerry) Fry of Washburn, Mo. and Kay (Chuck) Long of Cassville, Mo.; 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean Evans and a son George Schnake in 1986.
A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of the funeral home.
