Ferrel William Yates

Ferrell William Yates, 76, Coal Hill, Ark., formerly of Douglass, and father of Randy Yates of Augusta, died on Tuesday, Sept. 8,2009.
Graveside service held at Highland Cemetery in Ozark, Ark.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired from Beech Aircraft.
Other survivors include: daughter, Rita Shock; son, Keith Yates; three sisters; three brothers; three grandchildren.
Arrangements by Ocker Funeral Home, Van Buren, Ark.

Sally Allison

Sally Allison, 65, Great Bend, Kan., homemaker, passed away on Sunday,Sept. 13, 2009.
Visitation to 9 p.m. this evening, with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., all at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at First United Methodist Church in Great Bend. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery North.
Her survivors include: husband, Dr. Mike Allison of the home; sons, Cord Tyler (Robbie) Allison of Olathe, Slade Bridger Allison of Tyler, Texas, and Dant Driker (Jennifer) Allison of Columbia, Mo.; brother, L.N. Simmons of Elk City, Okla.; three grandchildren; five step grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the CKMC Foundation for the benefit of Heartland Cancer Center or M.S. Society, in care of the funeral home.

Linda G. Hammer

Linda G. Hammer, 57, Towanda, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept 18, at El Dorado Civic Center. Cremation has preceded the services.
She was born on April 14, 1952 in Wichita, the daughter of Kenneth L. and Margaret L. (Peel) Tyson. Linda graduated from Leon High School and then attended a trade school. She was working as a medical assistant.
She spent her entire life time in this area. She belonged to KWHA; NSCA; APHA; AQHA; and loved all animals especially horses.
She liked chili peppers, drawing, Indian history, crafts, western movies,
jewelry, doing holiday flairs, reading, listening to George Strait and spending time with her friends.
Those she leaves are: son, Joshua Hammer of Benton; sister, Deborah J.(Gary) Wartick, El Dorado; granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Hammer; nephew Matthew (Kellie) Wartick; two nieces— McKenzie (Reggie) Smithson, and Molly Wartick; two great-nieces and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A scholarship has been established in her memory for her granddaughter Gracie, and the family request any memorials be directed to that scholarship.
These may be left with Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado.

Rebecca F. Rorex

Rebecca F. Rorex, 68, Wichita, restaurant manager and volunteer, mother of Mark Van Fossan of Augusta, died on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009.
No service is scheduled. Other survivors include: son, Dave Van Fossan; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials to Wichita Childrens Home and Butterfly Society.
Arrangements by All Faith Funeral Home, Wichita.

Bobby Poynor

Bobby Poynor, 74, Towanda, died this morning.
Service arrangements are pending with Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home West Chapel, Augusta.
