Darline Lackey

Johnnie “Darline” (Chrismon) Lackey, 80, Augusta, passed away, Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009.
A graveside service was held this morning at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
She was born to “John” Allen and Annie Mae (Seaburn) Chrismon on May 9, 1929 in Grove, Okla. Darline’s family traveled from Oklahoma through Kansas on their way to Washington state and Darline became sick on the trip so they stayed in Kansas. She married Dwayne Barton Lackey on Dec. 9, 1946 in Wichita. They were members of First Baptist Church, Augusta where she taught Sunday school classes for 30 years.
Her survivors include her son, Darwin (Tamasa) Lackey of Augusta; daughters, Anna Lackey and Debra (James) Lucas, all of Leon; two grandsons, Pete and Johnny Lucas. She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Dwayne, and sisters Christine Thomas, Pauline Shoup and Mar-gine Kirkpatrick.

Dale T. Burris

Dale T. Burris, 82, Wichita, retired State Farm Insurance agent, father and father-in-law of Kim and Joe Reed of Douglass, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009.
Funeral service was held today.
Survivors include: wife, Susan; other children, Don Burris, Jill (Bryan) Lee, DeAnn (Mark) Mal-lonee; brothers, Darrell Kauer, Norval Burris; sister, Pearl “Berle” Weirick; step brothers, Keith Kauer,- Bob Kauer; 10 grandchildren.
Memorial established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
Arrangements by Cul-bertson-Smith Mortuary, Wichita.

Sept. 30, at Andover Cemetery, % mile north of 21st and Andover Rd. A reception will follow.
Evelyn was born to Rol-lie J. and Gladys (Coin) Lewis in Holdenville, Okla, on May 3, 1928. She graduated from Andover High School in 1945 and married Floyd D. Weinbrenner in 1949. Evelyn was a retired bookkeeper for McClure/South-west (Stockyards) and Mr. Handyman.
She is survived by: daughter, Debra (Mike) Seibert of Colorado Springs; son, Steven of Indiana; grandchildren, Jordan Weinbrenner of South Carolina, Steven Matthew Weinbrenner of Indiana and Jessica Weinbrenner of North Carolina; brother, Jim (Jesslyn) of Nederland, Texas; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, R.J., Jr., and Buddy.

Raymond Travis, 93, Shell Knob, Mo., formerly of Wichita, Mulvane and Augusta, passed away Sunday, Sept. 27,2009.
Services are pending with Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home in Augusta.
