Ryan L. “Chavez” Thompson, 33, of Longmont, Colo., diecj Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
The celebration of his life will continue following the memorial service at the Pump House in Longmont.
Cremation is by Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
A second memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at Senter-Smith Mortuary, Mulvane, Kan.
He was born March 2, 1976 in El Dorado,to Ernest R. and Ethel A. (DeWitt) Thompson.
Ryan lived most of his life in Butler County, Kansas, attending
Towanda Grade School in Towanda. He then graduated from Augusta High School in 1994. He continued his education at Cowley County Community College A & P program where he developed his natural mechanical ability. He could fix anything.
Ryan had lived in Longmont since March of 2006, however, he spent several summers working at Glacier Lodge in Estes Park.
Ryan was employed at First RF of Boulder as a radio communications technician, where he also played on the company co-ed baseball team.
He liked socializing, tailgating, beer fests and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Ryan was an outdoors-man; he enjoyed hiking, biking, hunting and fishing.
He will be remembered for the love he shared with his family, many friends and coworkers.
He was preceded in death by his father on Feb. 4, 2009.
Ryan is survived by: son, Sage Howell of Potwin; daughter, Dallas Haase and her mother Laura Smith of Amarillo, Texas; his mother, Ethel A. Thompson of Longmont;
brother, Eric J. (Patricia) Stage of Ark City; sister, Laura Dennett of Douglass; grandmother, Clara Thompson of Mulvane; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ina Mae Olthoff
Ina Mae Olthoff, 97, Andover, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2008.
She was a retired Boeing Engineering librarian.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Woodridge
Christian Church. The graveside service was 1 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Norwich.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
The Wulf-Ast Mortuary of Garden Plain had charge of arrangements.
