John Wesley Ferrel

John Wesley, 89, Wichita, retired aeronautical engineer for Beechcraft, passed away, Friday, Oct. 23,2009.
Visitation from 5-7 p.m. this evening; funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednes-
day, Oct. 28, both at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
John was born on Dec. 24, 1919 to John William
and Mary (Wix) Ferrel in Butler, Mo. He served in the US Army Air Corp
during WWII and married Marjorie Ann Eagleson on Aug. 10,1946 in El Dorado.
Survivors include: daughters, Carolyn (Jeff) Collins of Phoenix, Ariz., Debra (Mike) Carey of Denver, Colo.;
three grandchildren, Jamie Carey, Ryan (Katie) Collins and Nolan (Jenny) Collins and
four greatgrandchildren; sister-in-laws, Dorothy "Dot" Mills (Paul Jerry Slattery) of Wichita, and Eva Bastin (Stan Mills) of Dallas, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents; spouse,
Marjorie Ferrel on Nov. 26,1990; grandson, Josh Carey; four brothers, Wilber, Clark, Lloyd and Paul;
three sisters, Ruby Ferrel, Velma Silvers and Lela Mae Dennis.
A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
