Linda Goossen
Linda I. Goossen, 72, homemaker, Douglass, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009 at her home.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at Plevna Community Bible Church. Burial will be in the Plevna Cemetery.
She was born May 9, 1937 at Meade, to Peter L. and Katherine Isaac Classen.
She graduated from Meade High School in 1955 and from Grace Bible Institute 1960.
She was a member of Cumberland Bible Church, Douglass. On June 11,
1959 she married Alva F. Goossen at Meade. He survives.
Other survivors and their families include: 2 sons, John M. and Sue Goossen, Oakville, Ontario
and children Missy and Josh; Waldo J. and Lynette Goossen, Nairobi, Kenya and children Naomi, Jeremy and Elijah; Eldora and Rand] Brock, Derby
and children Timothy, Cynthia and Stephanie;
sisters, Agnes Schertz, Goshen, Ind. Dora Ehman, Three Hills, Alberta, Canada, Alvera Thiessen, Elbing, Ev Fisher, Wichita, brothers, Levi Classen, Liberal, Clarence Classen, Olathe.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Henry, Edward, Peter, Jakob and Harold Classen and one sister, Elizabeth Loewen.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be to Joni and Friends (wheelchairs for handicapped people in third world countries)^ care of the mortuary.

Betty Lou Barnes, 83, of Augusta, passed away Monday, Nov. 16,2009, at Lakepoint Nursing Center,
Services are pending with Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Mary Snodgrass
Mary Margarette (Grist) Snodgrass, 94, retired teacher and long time resident of rural
Towanda, passed away, Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 at Life Care Center of Andover.
Viewing 1-5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, Central Baptist Church and visitation will be at the church at 10 a.m. before the service.
Mrs. Snodgrass was born on Jan. 2,1915 to Walter and Minnie Grist in Bible Grove, Mo. She grew up in a family of 10 children. Mary began teaching in 1935 following graduation from El Dorado Junior College.
One of her first schools was Indianola southeast of Benton where she taught all eight grades. She married local farmer and stockman Philip Harper Snodgrass of Pleasant Look Farm.
She left teaching for a while to raise a family of two
