Juanita M. Jones Funeral Thursday
Juanita Mae Jones, 61, Wichita, died Monday, Jan. 30, at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral will be 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon, Feb. 2, at the Toronto (Kan.) Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Toronto cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was a retired employee of the Dillon’s and IGA grocery stores in Augusta.
Her body will lie in state at the the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta until 8 p.m. Wednesday.
She was born Nov. 3, 1922 at Toronto as a daughter of George and Anna Witte Morgan.
She married Paul E. Jones Jan. 16, 1943 at Eureka. He survives.
Also surviving are a son, two brothers, three sisters, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Susie Banker Dies At 78
Susie Francis Banker, 78, sister-in-law of Eldon Banker, died Friday.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. today at the Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson.
A memorial has been established with the Diabetes Association.
Other survivors include a husband, Vern; sons, Bill of Arlington, Joe of Oklahoma City, Okla.,; a sister, Johnnie Harrington of Wichita; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Retired Augusta Farmer Died Sunday At Age 84
Taylor Otis Deweese, 84, Route 3, died at his home Sunday.
His funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Richland Cemetery at Douglass.
He was born Sept. 5, 1899 in Bums to Cyrus and Clarice Ferguson Deweese.
He married Anna Jane Briles May 4, 1920 in El Dorado. She survives.
The retired farmer is also survived by a son, Homer Deweese of Ponca City, Okla.; two foster sons, Richard Reed of Leon and Robert Reed of Danville, Ill.; daughters, Myrtle DeFore of Augusta and Rogene Smart of Leon; seven grandchildren; six foster grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and four foster great-grandchildren.
One son, Otis; six brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

Corwin Leedom Dies At Hospital
Henry Corwin Leedom Sr., 75, 1214 Bobbie, died this morning at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Augusta Methodist Church. Rev. Robert Brooks will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 29, 1908 in Haverhill to Geoerge and Sarah Kennedy Leedom.
He married Vera Dovel Oct. 5, 1932 in Newkirk, Okla. She survives.
He was a retired transportation supervisor at Boeing Military Aircraft Co.
He was a member of the Augusta United Methodist Church, the Augusta Lions and B.P.O.E.
Other survivors include sons, Henry Corwin Jr., of Augusta, Donald of Westpoint, Utah, Melvin of Greeley, Colo.; sisters, Faye Levering of Douglass; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A brother, two sisters, and a grandson preceded him in death.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial to the Kansas Lions Sight Foundation through the local Lions Club has been suggested.
