James R. Trapp Dies In Wichita
James Ray Trapp, 66, 234 E. Summit, died Sunday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Brooks will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 23, 1917 in Melvern to Uriah James and Florence Eladee Lightle Trapp.
He married Frances Marie Williams March 9, 1939 in Atchison. She survives.
He was a production planning engineer at Boeing Military Aircraft Co. in Wichita for 34 years.
He was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and a member of the United Methodist Church.
He was active in Cub Scout Pack 212 from 1954 to 1959. He served as committee member, cubmaster, scoutmaster and assistant scoutmaster.
Other survivors include sons, Harold and Bruce, both of Wichita; a daughter, Kathleen Voros of Houston, Texas; sisters, Marjorie Seely of Olathe and Iva Clayton of Kansas City, Kan., and seven grandchildren.
Trapp had been an Augusta resident since 1948. A scholarship to benefit junior and senior engineering students has been established with the Wichita State University endowment association.

D.R. Burns Dies At 80
David Randall Burns, 80, 1214 Helen, died Monday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. The burial site was not available this morning.
A memorial has been established with the Elks Kids Christmas Fund.
He was born March 7, 1903 in Viola, Ark., to George Edgar and Daisy Kirtley Burns.
He married Earlene Gravely July 18, 1949 in Augusta. She survives.
He was a retired treater at Mobil Oil refinery. He was former president of the Augusta Country Club and a former manager and trustee of B.P.O.E. 1462. He was a member of the Moose Club.
Other survivors include sons, Orbrey 0., of Granada Hills, Calif., and J.D. of Anaheim, Calif.; a daughter, Kay Norton of Overland Park; brothers, Norman of Burleson, Texas and George of Sparta, Mo.; sisters, Bea Ewalt, Lela Williams and Tura Mae Deckers, all of Augusta, and Lucy Cotter of Caulfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Corwin Leedom Rites Tomorrow
Henry Corwin Leedom Sr., 75, 1214 Bobbie, died Monday, Feb. 6, at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at the First United Methodist Church of Augusta. Rev. Robert Brooks will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 29, 1908 in Haverhill to George and Sarah Kennedy Leedom.
He married Vera Dovel Oct. 5, 1932 in Newkirk, Okla. She survives.
He was a retired transportation supervisor for Boeing Military Aircraft Co. of Wichita.
He was a Methodist, a member of the Augusta Lions and B.P.O.E.
Other survivors include sons, Henry Corwin Leedom Jr., of Augusta, Donald Leedom of Westpoint, Utah, Melvin Leedom of Greeley, Colo.; a daughter, Barbara Smith of Littleton, Colo.; a sister, Faye Levering of Douglass; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A brother, two sisters, and a grandson preceded him in death.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements and memorials to the Kansas Lions Sight Foundation have been suggested.
