Dari H. Brown, 76, former civil engineer for the county highway department and U.S. Navy veteran, of Augusta, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009.
Visitation 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Graveside service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28,2009 at Burns Cemetery, Burns.
Dari was born in Burns, Kan.
on July 28, 1933; the son of the late Frank Houghton and Ethyl (Buf-fon) Brown.
He is survived by:
daughters, Darla Brown of Topeka, Valarie Gatz and husband Bill of Hesston, Bonnie Nold and husband Joe of Augusta, and Lori Lee Colgan and husband Jim of Atwood; brother, Frank H. Brown, Jr. of Ponte Vedra, Fla.; sister, Ruth Elaine Fredricks of Austin, Tex.; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Memorials to the River-cross Hospice or the Veterans Administration.
Arrangements by Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
