Wanda Lou Elliott

Wanda Lou Elliott, 95, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Dec. 9, 2009. with family to greet friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Friday and Elliott service 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12,2009, all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Wanda was born Nov. 11, 1914 on the family farm in Lincoln, Kan. to Golden and Maude (Man-nion) Morris. She married Jay Elliott on May 9, 1937 in Lincoln, Kan. Together they moved to McPherson, Kan. eventually settling in Augusta to raise a family of their own. To this union, three daughters were born: Jaylyn, Ellen Louise and Anita. Wanda was an exceptional seamstress and homemaker.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Jay on February 14,
1996, an infant daughter, Ellen Louise; a sister, Virginia Lewick and a brother, Dee Morris.
She is survived by: daughters, Jaylyn Elliott and Anita Elliott both of Augusta; sister, Marilee Paynter of Otis; five grandchildren, Rochelle Elliott, Terry Elliott, Danny Tolkin, Scott Rountree, Marnie Jones (Rountree); along with five great-grandchildren,
