J.D. Maish, Sr.
J.D. Maish, Sr., 85, retired Texaco Refinery shift supervisor, passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2009.
Visitation with the family will be 6 - 7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11; service at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, both at Downing &
Lahey Mortuary East.
Survivors: son, Jimmie D. Maish, Jr. of Wichita; daughter, Donna L. Kich-ler (Darrel) of Towanda; brother, Terry D. Maish of Kuttawa, Ky.; grandchildren, Amy Jo Carlyle (Drake), Don Robert Maish, Kevin M. Kichler and Kara M. Kichler (Travis Nutsch); greatgrandchild, Archie.
Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo (Glad-son) and parents, Donie and Nerine Maish.
Memorials have been established with the Towanda Library, 620 Highland, Towanda, KS, 67144 and USS Alabama, P.O. Box 65, Mobile, AL, 36601

Wanda was born Nov. 11,1914 on the family farm in Lincoln, Kan. to Golden and Maude (Man-nion) Morris. She married Jay Elliott on May 9, 1937 in Lincoln, Kan. Together they moved to McPherson, Kan. eventually settling in Augusta to raise a family of their own. To this union, three daughters were born: Jaylyn, Ellen Louise and Anita. Wanda was an exceptional seamstress and homemaker.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband,
Jay on February 14,
1996, an infant daughter, Ellen Louise; a sister, Virginia Lewick and a brother, Dee Morris.
She is survived by: daughters, Jaylyn Elliott and Anita Elliott both of Augusta; sister, Marilee Paynter of Otis; five grandchildren, Rochelle Elliott, Terry Elliott, Danny Tolken, Scott Rountree, Mamie Jones (Rountree); along with five great-grandchildren, Kaytlyn, Samantha, . Michael, Caden and Josie.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church - CFW, Augusta.
Arrangements by Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.

Visitation 1-8 p.m. Friday, with family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. at Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home, 507 S. Maple in Douglass. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday at the Douglass Church of Christ, 201 E. First.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Vera Ketterman, two granddaughters and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include: his wife of 55 years, Wauneta “Neita”; son, Terry, of Douglass; daughters, Robbin and Twila “Butch” Ketterman, both of Douglass; brothers, Richard, of Towanda, William, of Augusta; 10 grandchildren, 22 greatgrandchildren and the many children that called him Dad and Grandpa.
A memorial has been established with the Douglass High School for the Girl’s Basketball and Softball Teams.

Bill is survived by his wife Marsha; daughters, Donna (Ladd) Stewart of Augusta and Kathy (Greg) Gann.Wichita; stepsons, Kalynn (Frances) Campbell of Los Angeles, Calif, and Michael (Amy) Campbell of Tallahassee, Fla; mother, Dorothy Hulvey; sister, Linda (Dean) Metsker; three grandchildren.
