93, of Augusta and formerly of Haverhill, passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. A private graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Ora was born in Arkansas City on Aug. 9, 1916; the daughter of the late Derge D. and Eva L. (Winchell) Davis. She married Frank A. Murphy on March 28,1937 in El Dorado. They lived on the family farm near Haverhill for 68 years, where Ora raised her children. Ora had accompanied many soloists, played for many programs, organizations, and dance classes in Augusta. Also, she was a composer, having copyrighted five musical compositions.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Frank; son, Craig D. Murphy and wife Marilyn of El Dorado; daughters, Judy E. Johnson and husband Arthur of Tulsa, Okla; and Sandra Louise Hyden of Vulcan, Mich.; sisters, Maxine Roelefs of Mission, Texas, and Dorothy Larsen of Plano, Texas; 15 grandchildren, and 23 great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, David.
The family requests no flowers and memorials may be given to the donor's choice.

Barbara N. Gipson,

77, El Dorado, died on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2009.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado. Interment will follow in Walnut Valley Memorial Park, El Dorado.
She was born on July 30,1932 in El Dorado, the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Lewis) Blankenship. Barbara graduated from El Dorado High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Circles of the Church, and Fidgety Fifteen. She was always there for her family, enjoyed reading, decorating, camping, fishing, playing cards, dancing, and piano music.
On Aug. 25,1950 she married Lewis “Jack” Gipson at the First Methodist Church in El Dorado. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Those who survive include: son, Jack Gipson, Kansas City, Mo.; daughter, Rhonda (Chuck) Call, El Dorado; grandsons, Jonas (Diep) McBride and Christoopher (Nikki)
