58, Carlsbad, Calif., retired Mortgage Broker for Wells Fargo Mortgage, formerly of Augusta and Towanda, died on Dec. 23, 2009.
A come-and-go ’Celebration of Life’ will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan 16, 2010 at Goessel Mennonite Church, 109 S. Church St. (corner of Main & Church St.) in Goessel Kan.
A family Inurnment will take place at a later date at Hesston Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 8, 1951 in El Dorado, to Edgar Willis ‘Ed’ Auern-
heimer and Helen Maxine (Taylor) Auernheimer.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
She is survived by: her father, Ed; two brothers, and two sisters. Lynn (Maxine O'Neill) Auern-
heimer of Canton, Anthony ‘Tony’ (Audrey) Auernheimer of Salina. Joan Jacobsen of Newton, and twin sister, Carol Gibbens of Halstead; several nieces and nephews, two aunts and numerous cousins.
John “Jack” B. Swader, Jr.
John “Jack” B. Swader, Jr.,M/Sgt USMC, 91, Augusta, passed away, Thursday, Dec. 31,2009.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta. Those attending should use the 12th St. entrance.
He was born on July 18,1918, to John and Evaughn (Baker) Swader in Abilene, Kan. He married Arlis Pritchett on Nov. 7, 1969 in California. Jack served his country from 1942 until he retired in 1972. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII and as a Marine during the Korean Conflict and also during the Vietnam Era.
John was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Arlis and sisters, Rochelle Knox and Marie Swader.
Survivors include: his niece, Shirley and her husband Bob Stueven of Augusta; nephews, Michael (Samantha) Stueven and Scott (Shannon) Stueven; great nieces Aubrey, Grace and Emma Stueven, and great nephew Connor Cunningham.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church, 1600 State Street, Augusta, 67010.

Charles E. Russell,
75, Navy veteran and retired plumber,
Andover, died on Wednesday, Russell
Jan 6, 2010.
Funeral service was held Monday, at East-Point Church of Christ, Wichita, nterment followed at Bruno Township Cemetery, Andover.
He was born June 5, 1934 to Ernest C. and Ruthie M. (Copeland) Russell in Dolph, Ark..
On Feb. 20,1960 Charles married the love of his life, Sharon Thompson in Andover and they spent
nearly 50 wonderful years together. Charles was a member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters #441.
Survivors: Sharon; children, Judy Ulmer, David Russell, and Donna Hoggard; brother, Ottie; grandchildren, Ashley and Jared Ulmer, Bailey, Becky, Brant Russell, Emily and Molly Kirby, Dylan Hoggard, and Hi-romi Saito.
Memorials may be made to EastPoint Church of Christ Mission Fund.

Michael Steven Holmes, 60, postal carrier, Wichita, passed away, on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010.
Visitation from 6-8 p.m. today; funeral at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at First Southern Baptist Church, 2206 Ohio, Augusta.
Survivors: father, William Dale Holmes, Wichita; mother, LuElla (Bliss) and Larry James Tong, Sr., Augusta; brothers, Larry (Debbie) Holmes, Augusta, Ernest (Lynette) Holmes, Wichita, Donald (Sandy) Holmes, Edinburg, Tex, Larry J Tong II, El Dorado; sister, Florence (Ron) Hoover, Potwin; step-brothers, Tim (Theresa) Tong, Oxford, Michael (Doreen) Tong, Winfield; step-sister, Deborah (Guy) Gordon, Wichita.
