Virgil Lee Brooks

Virgil Lee Brooks, 77, of Clinton, Ark., passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, in Conway, Ark..
A celebration of his life will be 1 p.m., Friday,
Jan. 15, 2009, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Vivien Brooks and Vena Mae Stuart Brooks; a brother George Alvin Brooks, and stepson Roger Lee Williams.
He is survived by: his wife, Kathryn L. Crabtree Brooks of Clinton; son, Richard Earl Brooks: his son Randall L. Brooks and wife, Dana of Tulsa, Okla.; his daughter Sandie Brooks Preston and husband Ron of Au-
James Morris

James Morris, 58, self-employed remodeler, Augusta, passed away on Monday, Jan. 11, 2009.
Arrangements are pending with Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta.


Lily Anna Angle

Lily Anna Angle, 87, of Augusta and formerly of Wichita, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. today at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13, at University United Methodist Church, Wichita. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Wichita.
Lily was born in Winfield, Kan. on July 23, 1922; the daughter of the late Eugene and Alice (Sibley) Demieville. She retired from Wichita State University library and was a nationally known poet. She was a member of the Kansas Author's Club, the Saturday Scribes, and participated in the Threadbare Theatre Group. She attended University United Methodist Church.
Lily was preceded in death by her husband,
John, and three brothers She is survived by her daughter, Kay McCollom (Mark); her granddaughter, Rachelle Meinecke (Jason), and two greatgrandchildren, Noah and Julianna, all of Augusta.
Memorials to the Kansas Author's Club.

Engle, Caroline Francis (May), 74, nurse aide and homemaker passed away, Monday, Jan. 11, 2010.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13; funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, both at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta.
She is survived by: her sons, Ernest “Gene” (Deann) Engle of Wichita, Darrell (Corliss) Engle of Douglass; daughter, Betty Maslow of Douglass; sisters, Betty DiNardo and Frona Castell, both of Columbus, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren;
13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her spouse,
Ernest and son, Halsey.
