Jessie W. Abel
Jessie W. Abel (nee Scrivner) former Augusta resident passed away April 2,2010 in Abel Florissant, Mo.,
where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Joe Weigand.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 26, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
She is also survived by: daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Bill Moore of Plano, Texas; son, Donald Abel and Jennifer Treloar of Australia; granddaughters, Heidi Treloar, Kimberly (Weigand) Klotz and Kelly (Moore) Hartley; grandsons, Sean Abel, Robert Weigand, and Christopher Moore;
and 7 great grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Emily, Landry, Rylan and Liam.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Macular Degeneration Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, P.O. Box 1952, Clarksburg, MD 20871-1952, or BJC Hospice, Hospice Patient Fund, P.O. Box 504043, St. Louis, MO 63150-0001.

Allen R. Thomas, 57, self-employed, of Sedgwick, died on Monday, April 19, 2010.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, at Petersen Fu-
neral Home in Newton. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 23, at the Sedgwick Christian Church. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
He is survived by: wife, Celia (Poellot) Thomas of Sedgwick; sisters, Lorna Preston of Newton and Beverly Hilberling of Owasso, Okla., brother, Bill B. Thomas of Augusta; step-sons, Troy Williams of Wichita and Chad Williams of Arvada, Colo.; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may go to the Sedgwick Recreation Commission in care of Petersen Funeral Home, Newton.

Elmer Jacob Koenigs, 84, Wichita, retired carpenter, farmer and USD 265 employee, died on Sunday, April 18, 2010.
Vigil with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. this evening; funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, both at Church of the Holy Spirit in Goddard. Interment to follow at Afton Township Cemetery.
Survivors include: wife, JoAnn; daughter, Cheryl (Ron) Kastner of Wichita; sons, John (Lisa) of Goddard, Andy (Valerie) of Andover, Tony (Debbie) of Garden Plain, and Monte of Olathe; brother, Gene of Wichita; 10 grandchildren.
Memorials to St. Anthony’s Beck Field in Garden Plain and Church of the Holy Spirit.
Arrangements by Wulf-Ast Mortuary, Garden Plain.
