Della M. Allen

Della M. Allen, 90, of Augusta, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Funeral service 10 a.m. Friday April 30, 2010 at the First Christian Church, Augusta. Burial will follow in Walnut Valley Memorial Park, El Dorado.
Della was born in Freemont, Neb. on Nov.
9,1919, the daughter of the late Thomas Ma-credie and Hattie Catherine (Pease) Pitt. On June
5,1938 she married James W. Allen in Wichita. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2008.
Della was a homemaker, a school bus driver prior to 1963 and a sales associate at Calvert's in Augusta until 1986. She was an active member of the Leon Christian Church and later in the First Christian Church, Augusta.
Della is survived by: sons, Tom Allen and wife Sandy of Hot Springs Village, Ark., and Rod Allen and wife Maggie of Lake-view, Ark.; daughter, Karen Nestelroad and husband Steve of Benton, Kan.; grandchildren,
Chris Allen (Lisa), Jason Reinhardt (Chris), Jason Allen, Jason Nestelroad (Jennifer), Jenny Hatchett (Scott), Amy Kraft, Julie Wyatt (Thomas), Chad Allen (Ashley), and Sean Nestelroad; greatgrandchildren, Zac Allen, Torey Reinhardt (Lacie), David Reinhardt, Leandra Reinhardt, Alii Hatchett,
Kylie Allen, Blake Allen, Sam Hatchett, Tyler Allen, Jackson Nestelroad, Aidan Nestelroad, and Owen Kraft; one great-great-grandchild Elena Reinhardt.

William “Bill” West

William "Bill" Franklin West, 54, former factory and steel worker passed aeay Saturday, April 24, 2010. A memorial service will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 2 at the Augusta Church of Christ, 3500 Ohio.
Bill was born in San Jose, Calif, on Oct. 31, 1955 to William Albert West Jr. and Arvella Porter-Garcia West. Bill was a lover of music and an excellent guitar player. He was a member of the Augusta Church of Christ and also a sponsor of the Emporia Avenue Multiple Sclerosis Freedom Fighters.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and a brother, Steven West. Bill leaves to mourn his passing: daughter and son-in-law Sydney and Len West-Carnall of Augusta; son, Matt West of Wichita; one grandchild, Shadow Eliase Carnall.
A memorial has been established for the services of William West in care of Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta.
