Kathryn I. Boren
Kathryn Irene Boren, 89, of Augusta, passed away on Friday,
May 14, 2010, at Lakepoint of Augusta.
Viewing will be from 1-5 p.m., Thursday, May 27, and from 9-11 a.m., Friday morning, May 28 at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday afternoon, May 28, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Kathryn was born to Alfred Mark and Essie Mildred (Stephenson) Atkisson on Jan. 4, 1921 in Xenia, Kan. On Nov.
15, 1941, she married James Harold Boren in El Dorado. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed everything going on around her.
Kathryn worked for Boeing during WWII, riding a bus to work every day while James served in the military. She was a long time employee of the Style Shop in downtown Augusta. Kathryn and James had one son, Terry of Augusta.
She leaves to mourn her passing: Terry (Debby) Boren of Augusta; grandson, Nathan and granddaughter, Amanda (Matt) Brazell, all of Augusta.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, James and a sister, Dorothy Raymond.
A memorial has been established with the St. James Catholic Church building fund in care of the funeral home.

Jason A. Borden, 40, Wichita, employed by Lawn Rangers, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010.
Visitation will be held from 12-8 p.m., with family present from 5-8 p.m., on Thursday May 20, 2010, at All Faiths Mortuary, Wichita; funeral services at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 21, at Martinson Ave. Christian Church, Wichita.
Survivors: wife, Stephanie (Stecker) Borden, Derby; mother and father, Juvia and Jerry C. Borden, Wichita; children, A.J. Farrell Jr, Kier-sten Strecker, Brayden Strecker, all of the home, Brittany and Brandon Crawford, Kaitlyn Haimowitz, all of Wichita; brothers, Clifford (Pam) Borden, Augusta, Christopher (Neely) Borden, Jared A. Etheridge, both of Wichita; sisters, Jolena (Steve) Alfred, Wichita, Wanda (Randy) Kaup, Maize,
Sheila Allen, Belle Plaine, and Molly (Sam) Roberts, Rossville, KS; mother and father-in-law, Bernard and Julie Strecker, Wichita.
He is preceded in death by his brother Christopher Wayne Pauley.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be made to Kanza Bank, 13605 W. Maple, Ste 101, Wichita, KS 67235.
