Deaths & Services

Karen K. Jack

Karen K. Jack, 70 of Leon, died Monday, June 28 at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 6 at Leon
Cemetery. Cremation has preceded the services.
Karen was born on Feb. 13,1940 in Wichita, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Finch) McClelland. Karen was a homemaker and worked for Commerce Bank for a number of years. She loved to do crafts, sew, work crossword puzzles and watch KU basketball.
On July 16,1986 she and Jim Jack were married in El Dorado.
ried in El Dorado. He preceded her in death on May 26,1999.
Those who survive: son, J.R. Hurlburt, El Dorado; daughter and husband, Lori and Seth Turner, Leon; step-son, David Potts and wife Jodi, Douglass; step-daughter, Elaine Heit and husband Henry, Augusta; brother, Larry McClelland, El Dorado; and nine grandchildren, Meghan and Johnny Michal; Jesse Heit, Jake Heit, Falycia Davis, Lily Potts, Amilia Potts, Grace Turner, Shane Turner, Jeremy and Lindsey Heit; and two great-grandchildren, McKorghan Michal and Ruger Michal.
She was also preceded in death by a son Chuck; daughter Sherry and her parents.
Memorials in her memory for the American Cancer Society may
be left with Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado.

Donald L. Graham

Donald L. Graham, 86, of Beatrice, Neb and formerly of Augusta, died on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Centenary United Methodist Church of Beatrice. Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice.
He graduated from Augusta High School in 1942 and served in the United States Army in Europe during WWII. He worked for Safeway, Montgomery Wards and then Sears.
Survivors include: his wife, Treva of Beatrice; sons, Richard Graham (Melody) of Duncan, Okla, and James Graham (Lana) of Carthage, Mo.; daughter, Patricia Schroeder (Kenton) of DeWitt; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Howard Smith of Webb City, Mo.; sister, Nola Blinn of Topeka; sister-in-law, Dorothy Graham of Augusta; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Burrell and Altha McVay Graham; one daughter, Treva Sue Smith; granddaughter, Kathleen Schroeder; brother, Joseph L. Graham; sister, Rhea Graham.
Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice has charge of arrangements.
