Garrett Buthe

Garrett Allen Buthe, 10, of Augusta, passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, |
2010, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Garrett was born in Wichita on Sept, 5, 2000 to Lana Marie Vanderpool and Cory Ray Buthe. He was a 4th grade student at Ewalt Elementary in Augusta and was the 2010 State of Kansas Muscular Dystrophy Association Goodwill Ambassador. Garrett had his loves of playing Wii, We-bkinz, rock-hounding, the Kansas Jayhawks and he was a card shark at poker. He also enjoyed the time he shared with his "sissy,” Chelsea Base.
He is survived by: his momma, Lana Vanderpool; his daddy and stepmother, Cory and Kellie "Kel Kel" Buthe, all of Augusta; grandparents, Tim and Beverly Vanderpool of Rosalia, and Mark and Gloria Buthe of Augusta; great grandparents, Bob Vanderpool of Arkansas City, Dale and Mary Wilson of El Dorado, and Kenneth G. and Mae Buthe of Del Rapids, SD; half sister, Clara Jean Buthe of Augusta; step brother and sister, TV and Reece Will-hite of Augusta; cousins, Ean and Alexandria Buthe; many aunts and uncles; and his beloved dog, Peanut.
He was preceded in death by uncles, Jason Vanderpool and Bradley Buthe, and great-grandmothers, Nada Fern Vanderpool and Shirley Huffman.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Friday at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010 at the First Baptist Church, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the local Muscular Dystrophy Association chapter for summer camp, 8100 E. 22nd St. North Bldg. 2100-1 Wichita, KS 67226, or FUSE Foundation (non profit organization for young adults with Muscular Dystrophy), 1391 Oakmont Ct. McPherson, KS 67460.

Henry Carl Naiman

Henry Carl Naiman, 83, retired machinist and U.S. Army veteran, Andover and Rose Hill, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, at Peace Lutheran Church in Andover. Interment at t Dunlap Ceme-| tery, Rose Hill.
He is survived by one nephew and seven nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and May Elizabeth (Erwin( Naiman.
Memorials may go to Peace Lutheran Church, Andover.

Robert ‘Bob’ Worrell

Robert R. “Bob” Worrell, 83 of Leon, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at Golden Living Cen-| ter in El Dorado.
Visitation! with family [ present, will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
on Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Carlson Funeral Home,
El Dorado. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, at the Christian Church in Leon. Interment will follow the services in Blankenship Cemetery, Rosalia.
He was born on Dec. 7, 1926 in Rosalia, the son of Arthur J. and Fannie K. (Stokes) Worrell. Bob graduated from Leon High School and served in the U.S. Army from June 2,1945 until discharged on May 2,1946.
He was a farmer and lived in Butler County all his life. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Midian Shrine Club, Scottish Rite and the York Rite. Bob loved to hunt and fish.
On March 6,1946 he married Berniece Brewer in a ceremony in El Dorado.
Those who survive including his wife of the home are: son, Kevin Worrell; daughter and her husband, Lisa and Ronnie Wells, all of Leon; grandchildren, Kassie and Ryan Divine of Augusta, Payton Lakin of Leon, Trent Worrell of Wichita, and Dalton Lakinof Leon; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Keyauna, Samlya Worrell, Aiden Divine, J. D. and Isabelle Worrell, and one almost here Brennin Gage Lakin.
He was preceded in death by his parents: two sisters, Patsy Mauk, Mary Williams; and nephews Rod Worrell and Richard Keating.
Memorials to his memory for the Leon Fire Department may be left with Carlson Funeral Home , El Dorado, which has charge of the arrangements.
