Phyllis Carr
Phyllis Jean (Simmons) Carr, 82, Wichita, passed on Sept. 10, 2010.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 15,at the Glidden-Ediger Chapel in McPherson. Funeral services were held Monday at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, Wichita. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Phyllis is survived by: her husband of 60 years Bob Carr; sons, Steve (Cheryl), of Wichita, Terry (Cristi), of Kansas City, Mike (Nancy), of Hong Kong, Doug (Julie), of Andover; 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial established with Victory in the Valley and The Susan G.
Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Arrangements with Smith Mortuary, Derby.
Darrell Thompson
Darrell V. Thompson, 89, McPherson and formerly of Augusta, died on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, at the Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson. Interment will be at the McPherson Cemetery.
Darrell was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran and owner/operator of Thompson Transport Company, Inc.
Surviving family members include: his wife, Lucille of McPherson; sons, Gayland “Blue” Thompson and wife, Elizabeth of Terrell, Texas, and Kent Thompson and wife, Leslie of Galva; brother, Tommie Thompson and wife, Charlene of McPherson; six grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
Memorials may go to Boy Scouts of America or McPherson Y.M.C.A.

Dorothy Mae Jones, 96, Wichita, passed away Sunday, Sept. 12,2010.
Rosary at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 15 with funeral mass following at 10:30 a.m., both at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Wichita. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m., at Maplewood Memorial Lawn in Emporia.
Dorothy is survived by: children, Darreld Warren Wheeler of Las Vegas, Nev., Peggy Joanne Wheeler-Schoenhofer of Wichita, Freddie Wendell Wheeler-Anderson (Frankie) of Floresville, Texas, and Max DeWayne Anderson of Douglass; 15 grandchildren; many great and great-greatgrandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 124 N. Roosevelt, Wichita, KS, 67208.
Arrangements by Downing & Lahey Mortuary East, Wichita.
