Helen N. Taylor

Helen N. Taylor, 89, homemaker, of Augusta and formally of El Dorado and Rosalia, passed away, Friday, Sept. 17, 2010.
There will be family only graveside services.
Helen was born in Lyons, Kan. in 1921 the daughter of Joseph and Mamie (Silvius) Caldwell. She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing needle point, gardening, working with crafts and crocheting.
She married Charles J. Taylor in El Dorado on Aug. 19, 1937.
Helen is survived by: daughters, Sonja Patterson and husband Dalton of Augusta, Connie Christman and husband Paul of Wichita; grandchildren, Cory Patterson, Cary Patterson and Shiloh Meairs; seven great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband six brothers and sisters.
Memorials in her memory for Rosalia United Methodist Church or the Augusta Senior Center may be left with Carlson Funeral Home,
El Dorado.

Anna Belle Hodgens

Anna Belle Hodgens, 82, El Dorado, died Tuesday, Sept. 21,2010.
No services.
Survivors husband, Kenneth; children, Kenneth Lee (Frieda) of Wichita, Aletha (Roger) Barnes of Augusta, and George Alan Hodgens of El Dorado; sister, Georgia (Glen) Lehman, McAllen, Texas; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements by Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado.



Kevin ‘Scott’ Pennington
Kevin “Scott” Pennington, 49, Andover, diesel mechanic for Sara Lee Corp., passed away on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010.
A Celebration service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29, at HopeCommunity Church, 1831 E. 21st, Andover.
He is survived by: his wife, Joyce; sons, Seth (Marissa) and Nicolas; daughters, Naomi (Tom) Railey, and Kari; grandson, Theron Railey; parents, Bill and Barbara; brother, Curtis; sisters, Debbie (Fred) Vance and Terri (Larry) Hiatt; and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark.
Memorial contributions can be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or to the Pennington Family Fund, % Hope Community Church, 1831 E. 21st St., Andover, KS, 67010.
