William Delmer Blandin

William Delmer Blandin, 91, of Augusta, passed away on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010.
Graveside services were held yesterday at Elmwood Cemetery, in Augusta.
William was a U.S. Army WWII veteran and retired from Cities Service } Oil Company.
Survivors include: his two sons, James William and his wife Barbara of Denver, Colorado and Larry Eugene and his wife Lana of Leavenworth, Kansas; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; one sister Lois Blandin Buell Hilton of McPherson, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Minerva Pauline Testerman Blandin; brothers, Raymond and Donald; sisters, Viola Blandin and Mary Blandin Darrah.

Helen N. Taylor

Helen N. Taylor, 89, homemaker, of Augusta and formally of El Dorado and Rosalia, passed away, Friday, Sept. 17, 2010.
There will be family
Helen was preceded in death by her husband six brothers and sisters.
Memorials in her memory for Rosalia United Methodist Church or the Augusta Senior Center may be left with Carlson Funeral Home,
El Dorado.

Julia Grant-Akers

Julia R. Grant-Akers, 86, McPherson, retired from Farmers Alliance Insurance Co., died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010.
Services 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m.
Survivors include: daughters, Linda Peterson (Fred E.) of McPherson, Carolyn Goering (Fred J.) of Andover, and Cheryl Grant of Denver, Colo.; three brothers; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchi 1 dren.
Memorial donations may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice Care of Kansas.

Arthur Max Smeltzer

Arthur Max Smeltzer, age 81, Derby, retired real estate broker and former Derby City Council member, passed away Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. this evening with family re-

Hilda Dorothy Pankow

Hilda Dorothy (Blocker) Pankow, 87, Wichita, retired office manager, died on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010.
Graveside service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: son, Larry M. Pankow, M.D. (Kim) of Wichita; daughter, Karen K. Alfson (David) of Richardson, Texas; sister, Marie Hein of Augusta; four grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren.
Memorials established with Lutheran Braille Workers, Inc., P.O. Box 5000, Yucaipa, CA 92399-1450, and Trinity Lutheran Church, 611 S. Erie, Wichita, KS 67211.

Norma A. Crabill

Norma A. Crabill, 80, Andover, died on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, Newton. Burial will follow in the Whitewater Cemetery.
Memorials may be left to Kansas State Univer-sitv Marching Band in
Lynch on Nov. 23,1948 in Kingman. She was a cook at St. John’s School and Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital for a number of years. She was a member of the St. John’s Alter Society and the Legion of Mary. For the last several years she was in the grandmother program of reading to the kids at Jefferson School. Bea Loved to do word search and to pray.
Survivors include: her children, David and wife Nancy of Wichita, Kathleen and husband Raymond Roush of Rose Hill, Daniel Lynch of El Dorado, Patricia and husband Charles Garrison of El Dorado, Richard and wife Becky of Inman, Joseph and wife Luci of Wichita, John Lynch of Augusta, Michael Lynch of Winston, Ga..;14 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, four brothers and one sister.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with Kansans for Life. Contributions may be left at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home.
