Dorothy Parks
Dorothy Claire Parks, 88, of Augusta, KS, formerly of Naples,
FL., passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010.
A memorial rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12 and mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, all to be held at St. James Catholic Church in Augusta. Burial will be a later date at Resurrection Cemetery in Philadelphia, Pa.
Dorothy was born in Philadelphia on Oct. 16, 1921, the daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth Kennedy. On Nov. 30, 1944 she married Noah F. Parks, of Gilmer County, Ga,. who preceded her in death.
She was a loving wife, dedicated mother, and involved in community affairs. Dorothy graduated from Immaculata College, in Malvern, Pa., and later worked as the Administrative Assistant in the District Attorney's office of Chester County,
Pa.
She is survived by her children: daughter, Christina Scimeca (Tim) of Wichita, Stephen Parks (Diane) of New York, John Parks (Kathy) of Maryland; daughter, Lisa Nielsen of Minnesota and seven grand-children.

Dean Alvin Parker
Dean Alvin Parker, 77, of Warner Robbins, Ga., passed away Sunday, Oct.
10, 2010 in Warner Robbins, Ga.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Neodesha City Cemetery, Neodesha.
Dean was born April 10,1933 on a farm outside of Fredonia, Kan., to Alvin and Mary Parker.
He served in the U. S. Army. Dean moved from Augusta in 1971 to Georgia. He worked many years at Robins Air Force Base before retiring to his home on Lake Sinclair. He owned A-l Pawn Shop in Warner Robbins for several years. Dean loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by: his children, Belinda Newman (Ron) of Augusta, Debbie Harlason (Ben) of Warner Robbins, Ga., Janet Rogers (Jim) of Warner Robbins, Ga. Michael Parker of Snel-lville, Ga., Terrie Funk
(Ken) of Warner Robbins, Ga.; grandchildren, Becky, Nikki and Shelli Newman of Augusta, Tammy Urbine (Mel) and Tracy Harlason, Christopher (Heather) and Stacy Campbell, Brandi and Stephen Funk of Warner Robbins, Ga., Adam, Kevin, Jessica, Julie and Jeremiah Parker of Snel-lville, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Kamron Newman, Halli and Kyleigh Knollenberg, Benjamin Haralson, Damon Campbell, Taylor and Brenton Funk, Isabela Urbine, and Sarah and Dylan Parker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia; and two sons, Steven Wayne and David Wayne; and a brother, Kenneth Parker.

Joe Dugan, 73, Wichita, died on Oct. 7, 2010.
Funeral mass was held this morning at St. Anne Catholic Church in Wichita.
Survivors: wife, Kathy Dugan of Wichita; daughter, Lynnie Dugan of Douglass; sons, Stoney Dugan and Rocky (Kari) Dugan of Wichita; seven grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; brothers,Lawrence Dugan (Doris), Jerome Dugan (Sue), Louis Dugan; sisters, Doris Ternes (Lee) all of Wichita, Virginia Gehlen (Richard) of Colwich, Norma Crain of Palmer, Texas.
John F. Stroud
John F. Stroud, 80, retired Beechcraft employee, Wichita, passed away Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010.
Funeral service was held this morning at Lakeview Funeral Home, Wichita.
He is survived by: his wife of 62 years, Lillian; sons, Dave (Linda) of Douglass, Alan(Cathy) of Wichita, Dan (Virginia) of Garden Plain; daughters, Diane Delzer( David) of Wichita, Jayne Thorn-qvist (Ulf) of Wichita; brother, Loren (Paula) of Wichita; sister, Geneva Jackson (Jack) of Haysville; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
