Ray Stevens

Ray Stevens, 81, of Augusta, passed away Monday, Nov. 22, 2010.
There will be no services.
Ray was born in Wichita, Kansas on May 17, 1929, the son of the late Clyde A. and Mildred (Stinnet) Stevens. He retired as a manager from Mobil Oil after 38 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise (Haaga) Stevens of 52 years.
He is survived by his son, Rex Stevens of Arkansas City.

Colleen Cox

Colleen Cox, 59,
Augusta, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, Nov. 20,2010, Cox due to complications from MS. She was held in the loving arms of her family, friends, and dogs with many tears, but also lots of laughter, just the way she wanted it.
Colleen was born June 15,1951 in Tulsa, Okla, to the late James and Patricia Kirkland. She moved to El Dorado in May, 1962, attended 6th grade at Skelly School, El Dorado Junior High, and graduated from El Dorado High School in May 1969. In July 1969 she married James R. Cox in El Dorado and he survives.
She is also survived by: daughters, Gretchen Cox of Roeland Park, Kan., and Lainie Cox Rawlings (Jarrod) of Augusta; sister, Billee Kirkland Douglass (William) of El Dorado; grandchildren, Katelyn Cox, 7, Gracyn Cox, 3, and Chase Rawlings, 1.
She was employed in the medical field most of her working life, always having a love of medicine. Her Multiple Sclerosis was diagnosed at the age of 27, but she felt fortunate to have so many good, active years.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
