Darrel Hawley

Darrel Ivan Hawley, 75, rural Augusta, retired auto mechanic, passed away Saturday, Nov. 27,2010.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec.2, at Haverhill Christian Church. Interment to follow in Wakefield Cemetery.
Darrel was born Oct. 1, 1935 in Sharon, Kan. to Ray and Florence Marie (Bort) Hawley. He graduated from Augusta High School and attended an auto mechanics trade school in Kansas City. He also served our country in the U.S. Army. Darrel married Mary Ann McDowell on June 26,1966 at Haverhill Christian Church. He worked for Scholfield Auto in Wichita for 41 years.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Ann of the home; son, Wayne and his wife Laure Hawley of St. Remy, France; daughters, Karen and her husband Ted Mann of Augusta, and Ann Hawley of Washington D.C.; sister, Joyce and her husband Graden Hargar of Houston, Texas; siste-in-law, Lula Hawley of Wichita; three grandchildren, Haley, Nathan and Emma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edgar Hawley and a stillborn sister, Emma Jane Hawley.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with Haverhill Christian Church, 10275 SW Haverhill Road, Augusta, KS 67010.
