Zachary Starnes

Zachary “Zach” Taylor Starnes, 17, junior at Augusta High School, Starnes passed away Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011.
Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Augusta Assembly of God.
He is survived by: his mother, Jennifer Martinez and companion Tammy Platt, and his father, Wes Starnes and wife Yvonne; brother, Casey Starnes; half brother, Lake Owens; step brothers, Jacob and Elijah Owens; grandparents, Karen and Jeff Talbert of Newton; cousin, Jamie Murphy; uncles, William and Michael Martinez; aunts, Valarie Ibarra, Nacole Martinez and Patty Hinton; and his dog Rosa.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jesse Tony Martinez, Margaret Ann Vargas, C.J. and Nadine Starnes.

Susan Henman

Susan Henman, 64, Augusta, passed away Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011. Memorial service 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan.12,2011, at the First Baptist Church, Augusta.
Susan was born in Pittsburg, Kan. on July 14,1946 to the late Howard and Bonnie (Chandler) Egger. She had worked as a secretary at the First Baptist Church in Augusta for eight years. On June 3, 1966, she married David Henman in Augusta.
She is survived by: her husband, David; sons, Andrew (Rachel) Henman of Augusta, and Alan (Amber) Henman of El Dorado; brother, Ernie Egger of Garnett; sister, Noreen Lair of Wichita; and four grandchildren, Anna, Kyle, Tyler and Nathan.
