Elmer C. ‘Mac’ McDaniel
Elmer C. "Mac" McDaniel, 89, of El Dorado, passed away Friday, March 11th,
2011.
Viewing from 1 to 8 p.m., with family to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service 2 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011, at the First Southern Baptist Church, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Elmer was born in Dill City, Okla, on Oct. 25, 1921, the son of the late Marion Herman and Mil-lia (Lemaster) McDaniel.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Doris (Thurman); brothers, Leon, Paul, Carl and Jay Dee; a sister, Edith Kennedy; son, Danny; and a granddaughter, Kelli McDaniel.
He retired | as a carpenter I from WSU and was a farmer. He also served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII.
He is survived by: wife, Charlene; sons, Jack McDaniel and wife Susan of Augusta, Ron Ray and wife Wilma of El Dorado, and Mike Ray and wife Sarah of Augusta; daughter, Deon Markley and husband Gerald of Augusta; sister, Ruth Taylor of Lockesburg, Ark.; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Memorials to the First Southern Baptist Church or Gideon's International.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Flora Haskin; sister, Jean Mendenhall; grandson, Joe Price.
He is survived by: his wife of 59 years, Lucille Haskin; children, Nyija (Mike) Price of Atlanta, Kan., and Eric Haskin of Greensburg; grandchildren, Bridget (James) Schamahorn, Derek Haskin, Hayley (Doug) Sprecker, Adam Haskin, Ariel Haskin; greatgrandchildren, Jansyn Schamahorn, Jackson Sprecker and Lane Schamahorn.

Clyde D. Benton, 84, El Dorado, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011. at St.
The celebration of his life was Saturday, at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home, El Dorado.
Clyde is survived by: wife, Joy of the home; son, Bud (Sue) Benton of Augusta; daughters, Joy Elaine (Marty) Pickett of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Sue (Barry) Mohler of El Dorado; half brothers, Larry Jones, Glen Jones; sister, Nell Hood; half sisters Gail Davis and Estelle Watson; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Memorial has been established with the Union Rescue Mission of Wichita

Kathryn "Kathie" Ann Luginbill, 55, Augusta, nurse and fire dispatcher for
Andover, passed away, Sunday, March 13,2011 at her home in Augusta.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 17, both at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta. Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, rural Augusta.
Kathryn was born Feb. 6,1956 to Olin and Edna (Chastain) Luginbill.
Survivors include: her mother, Glennice Luginbill of Wichita; sons, Michael (Kyla) Beavers of Derby, and Daniel (Lisa) Beavers of Augusta; daughter, Rhonda (Deven) Kunkle of Wichita; brothers, Dale Luginbill of Douglass and Glen Rupe of Grove,
Okla.; comparion. Russell Kingsley ol Wichita; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Crystal Kunkle.
Arrangements by Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta.
Goldie Mae Buchanan
As the last line of the poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy
Evening’ Buchanan by Robert Frost says: “And miles to go before I sleep.” Goldie Buchanan nee Gassiott lived most of her life in Andover Kansas and at the age of 85 completed her journey. She died on March 11,2011.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m.on Saturday March 19, 2011, at the First Baptist Church, Augusta.
Goldie, born in Glenmora, La., was the daughter of Rcynthia and Joseph Gassiott.
She served as Mayor of Andover 1974-1978.
She is survived by: two younger brothers, Ray and Charles Gassiott, also of La.; four children, Carroll Floyd of Shreveport, La., Robert Buchanan of Bel Air, Md., Elbert David Buchanan of Towanda, and Angelika Maxwell of Wichita; She 10 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren.
Goldie was predeceased by husband; Elbert M. Buchanan of Andover; two granddaughters, Talli Ann Buchanan and Rositta Goldie Buchanan.
Donations will be accepted for the First Baptist Church Youth Ministry in care of Dick Smith, Youth Pastor. Flowers will be received at thechurch on Friday afternoon March 18 or morning of March 19.
Funeral services provided by Baker Funeral Home, Wichita.
