Wayne Hooper

Wayne Kevin Hooper, 56, Wichita, died on March 18,2011.
Following a private inurnment, memorial services are scheduled at 12 noon on Saturday, March 26, at Downing and Lahey Mortuary East in-Wichita.
Survivors include: his wife, F. Marian Chambers; mother, Imogene Hooper of Augusta; sisters, TWila (Jerry) Burks of Kansas City, Mo.,
Karen (Kevin) Fraipont of Valley Center, and Donna (Jay)Christner of Augusta; nephews and nieces; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews, as well as numerous loyal and loving friends.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial tributes be made to: Lord's Diner,
520 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS., 67214 or Little League Baseball, Incorporated, ATTN:

Morris R. Perkins

Morris R. Perkins Sr.,86, architect and Major USAF retired, Wichita, passed away.
Rosary at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, and funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 25, both at Blessed Sacrament Church, Wichita. Internment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wichita.
Survivors: daughters, Andrea (Roger) McCoy of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Michele (Ron) Graham of Derby; sons, Morris Jr., (Valerie) of Wichita, Greg (Pat) of Augusta, Hilary (Nan) of Wichita, Christopher (Joanna) of Arvada, Colo., Geoffrey (Trudie) of Olathe, and Jonathan (Mary) of Peoria, Ariz.; 20 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Church of the Blessed Sacrament School Endowment Fund, 124 North Roosevelt, Wichita, KS 67208. Internment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wichita, Ks.

Paul D. Smeltzer

Paul D. Smeltzer, 60, Kansas Real Estate Commission auditor, Derby, passed away Saturday, March 19,2011.
Visitation 1-8 p.m., with family receiving friends 5-7 p.m. this evening, Smith Mortuary in Derby. Funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, Woodlawn United Methodist Church.
Survivors: wife, Oleta; sons, Justin (Nancy) Smeltzer, Derby, Jacob (Katrina) Smeltzer, St. Louis, Mo.; daughter, Kim (Kelly) Greenlee, Springdale, Ark.; 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson; his mother, Agness, Derby; siblings, Allan (Susie) Smeltzer, Augusta, and Nancy (Fred) Bonner, Wichita.

Daniel J. Lewis

Daniel J. Lewis Jr., 78, of Marietta, Ga., died March 19,2011.
Graveside service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens, Mableton, Ga.
He was a member of the Moose lodge since 1982, an esophageal speaker of 33 years, and retired machinist since 1990,
Survivors include: children, Richard Lewis,
Cynthia Stillwell, Earl Lewis, and Debra Rogers; brothers, Kenneth Lewis and wife Peggy, and Terry Lewis and wife Kay; sister, Kathleen Jackson; best friend, Polly Mark-land; best friend's children, LaJuana and Ricky Jones; five grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by brother, Charles Lewis Sr. and wife Wilma.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the International Association of Laryngectomees.
