Juanita Skiles

Juanita P. Cox Seaburn Skiles, 90, retired St. Francis School of Nursing executive secretary to the Director of Nursing, Wichita, passed away Saturday, March 19,2011.
Funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 23,2011 at Riverlawn Christian Church.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; grandson, John Seaburn; great-granddaughter, Lakin Jones.
She is survived by: son, Gary (Peggy) Seaburn, of Wichita; daughter,
Sherry (Edward) Sears, of Wichita; grandchildren, Melanie Seaburn, Melissa Joynt, Luke (Jessica) Seaburn, all of Wichita, Stephanie Anderson, of Moore,
Okla., Michelle Michaelis; of El Dorado, and Bobby (Cherry) Ashley, of Leon; 20 great-grandchildren
A memorial has been established with River-lawn Christian Church, 4243 North Meridian, Wichita, KS 67204.

Hulda Plett

Hulda (Thiessen) Plett, 90, Augusta, passed away Sunday, March 20,2011.
Private family graveside at Leon Cemetery.
Hulda was born in Inman, Kan. on Jan. 25, 1921, the daughter of the late George and Anna (Esau) Thiessen. She retired as a LPN at Wesley Medical Center NICU.
On May 31,1943, she married Jake Plett and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Ben and John Thiessen; sisters, Mary Goering, Margaret Klassen Neufeldt, Kathryn Grote and Velma Franz.
She is survived by: sons, John of Andover and Tim of Cassoday; daughter, Cathy of Andover; brother, Paul Thiessen of Inman; sister, Laura Ramsay of Glendale, Calif.; grandchildren, Richelle Plett of Prairie Village, Kan. and Travis Plett of Andover; four great-granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Good Shepherd Hospice or Wheat State Manor, Whitewater, KS.
