June V. Canfield
June V. (Perkins) Canfield, 87, of Leon, passed away, Tuesday, March 22,2011, at Fairways of Augusta.
A private family graveside service will take place at Fairlawn Cemetery in Hutchinson at a later date.
June was born May 15, 1923 to Melvis and Martha Applegate in Augusta. She graduated from Augusta High School and married Francis Canfield on Aug. 17,1947 in Hutchinson. June loved baby farm animals and was also an executive secretary at Beech Aircraft. Her favorite job was a geriatrics aide at Via Christi St. Francis.
Survivors include: her husband of 64 years, Francis Canfield, Sr. of Leon; daughter, Kristen Walker and son David (Laurie) Canfield all of Augusta; 5 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchi 1-dren.
June was preceded in death by her parents Melvis Applegate and Martha Applegate Roby; her first husband, Arthur Smith; son, Jon Smith and an infant son Francis Canfield, Jr.
A memorial has been established with the Butler County Alzheimer's support group in care of Dunsford Funeral Home & Crematory, Augusta.

Kenneth Gene Jeffries, 38, El Dorado, passed away Sunday, March 20th, 2011. Viewing 1-8 p.m. with family to greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, and service 10 a.m. Friday, Jeffries March 25, both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Ken was born in Little Rock, Ark. on Jan. 29, 1973, the son of Owen Jeffries and Pat Pruitt.
He was a horse trainer who also spent some time coon hunting and leathercrafting. Ken belonged to KCHA, BECHA and NCHA. His greatest joy was being a father.
He is survived by: children, Bailey, Saige and Bonner; father, Owen Jeffries; mother, Pat Pruitt; grandmother, Bonnie Jeffries; brother, Joe Jeffries; sisters, Amanda Kirilenko and Erin Stobaugh; former wife, Mary Jeffries.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Owen Jeffries and Tilmon and Lois Pruitt.

Jo Ann Wesbrooks, 84 of Augusta, passed away this morning.
Service arrangements are pending with Headley Funeral Chapel.
