Vida ‘Jean’ Lunsford

Vida, "Jean" Lunsford, 86, Augusta, passed away, Wednesday, March 30,2011 at Lakepoint of Augusta.
Viewing from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, April 4, at Dunsford Funeral Home & Crematory. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. in Augusta’s Elmwood Cemetery, with Pastor Penny Goldberg officiating. Those attending should use the 12th Street entrance.
Jean was born Sept. 28, 1924, to Cleo and Emma (Fisher) Guthridge in Kansas City, Mo. She was married to Audley R. Lunsford.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Jean's first job was at the Mobil Refinery and then was a medical assistant for Dr. Haage, an accountant with Spencer Loadcraft and retired as Vice President of Augusta State Bank. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Business & Professional Women, Credit Women's Association, Women's Bankers Association and Hypatia Club.
Survivors include: step-son, Dennis and his wife Linda Lunsford of Haysville; step-grandson, Michael and wife, Victoria Lunsford of Wichita; three step-grandchildren, Lunsford Jordon Fankhauser, Savannah and Landon Lunsford.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church, 1600 State Street, Augusta, KS 67010, or in care of the funeral home.

Arlene Marshall

Arlene Rae (Mason) Marshall, 83, beloved mother, great-grandmother, and friend, entered eternal life on March 25, 2011.
Service of Remembrance was held Wednesday at Old Mission Mortuary in Wichita.
. She was born Jan. 10, 1928, in Dallas, Texas to Edith and Park Mason. Arlene and family moved to Wichita in 1933. She married Aaron Edward Marshall on Dec. 28, 1946 and they celebrated 62 years of bliss unitl Aaron’s death in September of 2007. Arlene retired from the Wichita Public School System after 26 years and was a past member of Eastern Star.
She is survived by: two daughters, Sheryl Cronn and Sheila Sutton (Paul), all of Wichita; grandsons, Charles Cronn (Paula), Steven Cronn, and Kevin Cronn.
Preceded in death by husband; parents; sister, Lorraine Paqanucci; brother, Frank Mason; an infant granddaughter.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Park West Plaza for their love and care of their precious mother.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Business & Professional Women, Credit Women's Association, Women's Bankers Association and Hypatia Club.
