Byron Lee ‘Barney’ Allen
Byron Lee "Barney" Allen, 89, of Augusta, passed away Saturday, April 30,
2011.
Visitation 4-6 p.m. Tuesday and service 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will follow at Leon Cemetery.
Byron was born in Wichita, on June 18,1921, the son of the late Byron William and Frances (Gilson) Allen. He retired as a machine shop foreman from Boeing after 40 years. On Oct. 25,
1945 he married Sue (Seipel) in Wichita and she survives.
He is also survived by: daughter, Jodee Mufich and husband Steve of Kansas City; brother, Arnold Allen and wife Modina of Ardmore,
Okla.; grandchildren, Andrea Deschaine (Ryan), Danielle Suarez (Joel), Jenny Hatchett (Scott), Chad Allen (Ashley) and Chris Allen (Lisa); great grandchildren, Ava, Charlotte, Grace and Olivia Deschaine, Evelyn Suarez, Alii and Sam Hatchett, Zach and Blake Allen, and Kylie and Tyler Allen.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Allen.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society.

Dellsea Rae Nachbor

Dellsea Rae Nachbor, age 17, Douglass High School student, passed away, April 28, 2011.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Sunday with family receiving friends 5-7 p.m., Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service 4 p.m. Monday, May 2, at Douglass High School auditorium.
Survivors: parents, Justin and Doreen Nachbor; brother, Blake, all of Doulgass; sister, Ladessa Nachbor, Wichita; niece, Ayla Williams, Wichita;
grandparents, Leonard and Beverly Nachbor, Wichita, Cinda Cates, Ft. Scott, Russell and Georgia Bergley, Douglass; great-grandmother, Eula Payton, Douglass; aunts and uncles, Duane and Vicky Bergley, Dwight and Carol Bergley, Scott and Diann Giesen, Jeff and Ann Nachbor, and Lorrie Kessler; numerous other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri and Kansas, 6700 Troost, Kansas City, MO 64131 www.epilepsyfounda-tion.org.

Janice V. Bankson

Janice V. Bankson, 74, homemaker, Wichita, passed away Wednesday, April 27,2011.
Service was held on Monday, at St. Mary's Cathedral.
She is preceded in death by her parents,
John and Bertha Ackley; husband, Harvey Bank-son; son, John Cherry.
Survivors include: her daughters, Victoria (David) Dibble of Wichita and Valina (Jerry) Jackie of Douglass; son, Loy A. "Art" (Shirley) Cherry, Jr. of Stafford, Va.; sister, Twila (James) Brown of Hot Springs, Ark.; 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been establised with Easter Seals and The Lord's Diner.
Services by Broadway Mortuary, Wichita.

Merritt Bradshaw

Merritt F. Bradshaw, 71, retired Bakery Consultant and Mulvane Parks Dept, employee passed away Saturday, April 30,2011.
Memorial service at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 5, 2011, Smith Mortuary,, Derby.
Survivors: wife, Jeanne; children, Barbara Williams of Newport Beach, Calif., Debbie Hill of Mulvane, Steven (Dawn) Bradshaw of Mulvane, Paul (Kim) Bradshaw of Augusta, Brian (Jennifer) Bradshaw of Mulvane, Paul (Nina) Koch of Rose Hill; 24 grandchildren; siblings, Lou (Avon) Bradshaw of Ozark, Mo., Jeanette (Ron) Schaefer of Irvine, Calif., Dennis (Kathy) Hoylman of O'Fallon, Mo.
Memorials are established with Hospice Care of Kansas and American Heart Association.
