Jason Shipman

Jason Shipman, 40, Augusta, passed away Wednesday, April 27,2011.
Viewing 4-8 p.m. Monday, and service 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, Monday, and service 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 both, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Jason was born in El Dorado, on March 6, 1971, the son of Robert Shipman and Tannis (Me Gilvray) Ploy. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in road construction and currently worked in pest control for Industrial Fumigant Company. On Oct. 9, 1999 he married Kelllie (Beals) in Augusta and
she survives.
He is also survived by: daughters, Courtney and Samantha Shipman; father, Robert Shipman and wife Irene Wirt of Hastings, Neb.; mother, Tannis Ploy and husband Amboo of El Dorado; brother, Brian Shipman of El Dorado; sister, Sarah Coiner and husband Chris of El Dorado; grandparents Darrel and Sheila Shipman of El Dorado; grandmother, Virginia Pringle of El Dorado; mother and father in-law, Diane and Francis Beals of Augusta; brother-in-law,Frank Beals and wife Juana of San Diego, Calif.; niece, Chloe Coiner; nephews, Isaac Ramsey, Jarod Beals, Layne Shipman; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Bill D. Pringle.

Betty Sullivan

Betty J. Sullivan, 78, of Augusta, domestic engineer, passed away Tuesday,
April 26, 2011.
Visitation 4-8 p.m., with family present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, and service 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011, all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Betty was born in Wichita on Jan. 4,1933, the daughter of the late Ben and Lena (Alberts) Rucker. On May 28,1954 she married Micheal J. Sullivan and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded by brothers, Bill and Frank Rucker; and sisters, Henrietta Smallwood and Flora Carter.
She is survived by: son, Micheal Sullivan, Jr. and wife Beverly of Augusta; daughter, Patricia Corey and husband Kent of Haysville; brothers, John and Ed Rucker of Wichita; sister, Florence Mayginnes of Andover; grandsons, Kent Corey, Jr. and Josh Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.
