Virginia L. DeLaughder

Virginia Lee (Snyder) DeLaughder,
85, passed I away peacefully on Monday, May DeLaughder 23,2011,
at Lakepoint of Augusta.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at the Little Walnut Township Cemetery in Leon.
Virginia was born Jan. 1,1926, in Three Sands, Okla, to William Rufus and Harriett Ann (Morris) Snyder. She graduated from Braman High School in Braman, Okla, and married Lee Roy DeLaughder on July 25, 1945, in Newkirk, Okla. Virginia retired from Beechcraft as a parts inspector. She enjoyed singing on the radio in Blackwell, Okla, and long haul truck driving, her handle was "Short Round.” She drove go-carts and rode jet ski's, loved to fish, garden and was a member of the Golden Bee's (Beechcraft ladies).
Her survivors include: her son, Ricky (Deirdre) DeLaughder of Muskogee, Okla.; daughters, Julie (George) Wolf of Salina, Janine (Douglas) Erickson of Douglass, and Candace Taft of Augusta; sister-in-law, Janet Miller of Howard; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David in Vietnam; one brother and three sisters.
A memorial has been established with the Paralyzed Veterans in care of Dunsford Funeral Home & Crematory, Augusta.
