Victor E. Rowland

Victor E. Rowland, 88, of Pratt, died Thursday, May 19, 2011.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 2 -p.m. on Friday, May 27,2011, at the Pratt Senior Center.
He was born April 26, 1923 in Protection,
Kan.,the son of Lawrence and Martha (Daugherty) Rowland. He was a cabinet maker for JA Knight & Sons for 37 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church,
Pratt. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in World War II from 1943-1946 and received a Purple Heart.
On Jan. 21, 1947 he married Alice Krehbiel in Enterprise, Kan. She survives.
Other survivors include: daughters, Vicki (Roger) Seward, Topeka, and Pam (Jack) Burleson, Augusta; son, David (Carolyn) Rowland, Pratt; nine grandchildren and five great -grandchildren; a brother, J.D. (Audry) Rowland, Rogers, Ark.; sisters, Barbara Sangster and Katie (Dean) Hoover, both of Pratt.

Leonard Myers

Leonard Franklin Meyers, 89, Wichita, father of Leon Myers of Andover, passed away Monday, May 23,2011. His graveside service was held Friday, May 27, at Resthaven Mortuary.
He owned and operated Myers Plumbing. He was a decorated World War II veteran.
In addition to his son and daughter-in-law Jan of Andover, Mr. Myers leaves his wife Ramona, son Larry Myers of Parsons, daughter Carla Busby of Cedaradge, CO., stepsons Gaylord (Kit) Smith of Leawood, Foster (Janet) Smith of Wichita, brother George Myers of Parsons, 11 granddchildren, two great-grandchildren.
