Zechariah Nelson

Zechariah Gabriel Nelson, 9, of Augusta died suddenly due to an electrical accident at his home in Augusta.
Viewing will be from 1 to 5 p.m., with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p .m., on Wednesday, June 15, at Dunsford Funeral Home & Cremtory in Augusta. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 16, at the Hope Community Church in Andover. Burial will be in the Farmer Township Cemetery in Bushton, Kan.
Zechariah was born on March 28, 2002 the son of James "Jay" P. Nelson III and Rahna Lynne Taylor Nelson in Wichita. He was about to start the fourth grade at Douglass Elementary.
Zechariah enjoyed sports of all kinds including football, basketball, Tae Kwon Do and swimming. He was a wonderful happy young man who loved Jesus.
Surviving to honor his memory are: his parents, James "Jay" and Rahna Nelson of Augusta; brother, Jay Nelson and wife Elizabeth of Belle Plaine; sisters, Sarah Long and husband Paul of Havana, Kan., and Noel Nelson of Augusta; grandmothers, Beatrice Nelson of Geneseo, Kan., and Barbara Taylor of Wasilla, Alaska.; grandfather, Robert Taylor of Willow, Alaska.
His grandfather James Nelson preceded him in death.
A memorial has been established with the Orphanage in Haiti through the Hope Community Church, 1831 E. 21st Street, Andover, KS 67002

Dean Clem

Dean Clem, 90, homemaker, passed away, Saturday, June 11, 2011, in Kansas City, Kan.
A private family graveside service is planned at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Dean was born April 10,1921, to Robert and Dolly (Ramey) Beach in Sedalia, Mo. Dean married Wayne Clem on Dec. 10,1945, in Columbus, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne Clem; daughter, Joey Stevens; son, Gary; and great-granddaughter, Teagan Clem; two great-grandsons, Mason and Michael Stevens.
Survivors include: her sons, Jerry (Susan) Clem of Augusta, Dan (Sue) Clem of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Ron Clem of Little Rock, Ark.; daughters, Pat (Bill) Cook and Diane Pursley all of Woodland Hills, Calif., Debbie (Clark) Swenson of Kansas City, Kan.; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Larry Ross

Larry Junior Ross, 61, of Towanda, died on June 10, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral service was held this moring, at Faith Baptist Church in Andover.
He was born on Aug. 8, 1949, in Shattuck, Okla., retired from Frontier Refining as a chemical engineer.
In addition to his loving commitment to his family and community he also served in the U.S. Army. His life passions included his alma mater,
K-State, and officiating many local sports.
He is survived by: his wife of 41 years, Cynthia (Martin) Ross; daughters, Kristy (Bill) Duggan, and Nikki (Harley) Teel; mother and father, Nora Faye and Silas; brothers, Ray (Donna) and Dan (Gail); 4 grandchildren Will, Kaci, Justin and Alexandra.

Lloyd William Dunnell

Lloyd William "Bill" Dunnell, age 95, of Udall, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011.
Visitation 9-10 a.m., with funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 16„ at Senter-Smith Mortuary in Mulvane.
Survivors include: sons, Lloyd W. (Anna) Dunnell, Jr. of Winfield, and Jerry Dunnell of Fairbanks, Alaska; two grandsons; sisters, Gloria (J. Warren) Sickles of Winfield, and Virginia (Lawrence) Alley of Douglass; sister-in-law, Margaret Dunnell of Peck; numerous nieces and nephews.
