Cathleen Sue Wilson (Williams)
ated from Emporia State University earning a teaching degree. She earned her master’s degree in education from Wichita State University in 1991.‘Cathy taught second grade at Haverhill Elementary for 24 years. She was awarded the Master Teacher designation by her school district in 1988. Her favorite hobbies were spending time with her family and friends, reading, and traveling. She loved being a mom and wife as well as being a teacher.
She is survived by: her husband, Dave Wilson, El Dorado; children, Traci (Mike) Addington, Andover, and Drew (Kristi) Wilson, El Dorado; mother, Clara Ruth Williams of Burlington; four siblings, Mike Williams, Sharon Beyer, Marianne Goffe, Kim Williams; grandchild, Clarissa (Andover).
She is predeceased by nephew, Sonny Beyer; sister-in-law, Judi Williams, and father, Roger Williams.
Memorial funds established include Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and Bluestem Education Scholarship Fund.

Ramona (Lawson) Green, 82, Douglass, passed away July 7,2011.
Memorial service and interment will be held privately.
She is survived by: husband, A.M.; son ,Trey; daughters, Michele Prickett, Kristine Galbraith, and Kerry Berger-house; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grand-children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Janella Carmichael.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Rivercross Hospice, 251 S. Whittier, Wichita, KS 67207.

Doris Eloise Lyons Turner, 75, Wichita, passed away on July 5, 2011.
Family will greet friends at 8:30 a.m.; funeral service at 9 a.m., today at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wichita.
Survivors include: two sons, Randy Turner of Wichita, and Jody (Sonja) Turner of Douglass; sisters, Donna, Jeanne, Betsy, and their husbands Rick, Perry, Rol-land; four grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; her son, Jerry; her parents; her brother, Albert James Lyons, Jr, and her baby sister Sallie Lyons.

In 1992, late night severe thunderstorms whip lashed North Central and Northeast Kansas with 60 to 110 mph winds. Hardest hit was Concordia, where a peak 1 minute speed of 108 mph was measured at Blosser Airport. Sustained speeds exceeded 60 mph for an incredible 20 minutes. Around $25 million damage resulted, including the National Weather Service Office which was partially unroofed. Six people were injured.
