Neoma Daniel
Neoma Fern Daniel, 79, passed away July 13, 2011, with her loving family by her side in Rose Hill.
A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, at at the New Friends Bible Church, U.S. 54 and Santa Fe Lake Road. A funeral
service will be h eld at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 18, at the First Baptist Church in Porter, Okla., under the direction of Mallett Funeral Home, Wagoner, Okla.
Neoma was born on Dec. 26,1931 in Fort Gibson, Okla. She was the first of eight children born to Hila and Fred Linzy. She spent her earlier years tending to her family’s farm. After working as a seamstress and homemaker, she began her career at K-Mart in Muskogee. After working hard for 19
years, Neoma retired in 1995. Neoma enjoyed feeding and watching birds, collecting cookbooks, gardening, cooking and playing dominoes. She was a hard worker and a loving person and will be very much missed by all family and friends. She was a member of the New Friends Bible Church, rural Augusta.
Surviving her are: her daughters, Jeanna Daniel, Gayle Daniel and Veleta Wiley; her sons, Terry Daniel and Brent Daniel; sisters, Betty Daniel, Dorothy Sedivy, Verna Meyers, and Mary Lou Brown; brothers, Kenneth, Alvin and Frank Linzy; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and her loyal canine, Toby.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Doug Daniel and an infant, Neil Daniel.
