Ex-Augustan dies in Pratt
Monte Charles Clark, 61, Pratt, formerly of Augusta, died Sunday in Pratt.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Brooks will, officiate and burial will be in the Garrison Cemetery in rural Augusta.
A memorial has been established with the Alzheimer Association.
He was born Jan. 8, 1923 in Wichita to Charles and Sarah Montana Fox Clark.
Clark married Ailene Hyde Aug. 28, 1946 in Augusta. She survives.
He was a retired state meat inspector and a former county agriculture agent for Kiowa and Ford counties.
He served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the VFW, the Pratt Rotary Club and Methodist Men.
Other survivors include daughters, Susan Davies of Hutchinson, Debby Lambert of Lake City, and Kim Taylor of Pratt, and a brother, Bruce of Grants, N.M.
A sister, Marian Fester, preceded him in death.
Blanche Tomman funeral Tuesday
Blanche E. Tomman, 88, Wichita, mother of Jack Tomman of Douglass, died Saturday in a Manhattan hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Wichita Park Cemetery. Rev. Glenn Thomi will officiate.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
She was born Feb. 28, 1896 in Winterset, Iowa to George and Jenny Hamilton Muehleberger.
She married Otto Tomman. He preceded her in death.
Other survivors include a daughter, Naomi Summers of Wichita; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
The Byrd-Snodgrass Funeral Home in Wichita is in charge of arrangements.

Ex-Augustan dies in Texas
Glenn “Rusty” Ehret, 65, Plano, Texas, formerly of Augusta, died Friday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Jon Grissom will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born April 4, 1919 in Las Vegas, Nev., to Don V. and Hazel Cotton Ehret.
Ehret married Lucille Seaburn April 10, 1946 in Augusta. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
He was the former owner of National Cleaners of Wichita and a real estate broker in Plano.
Other survivors include son, Monty Ehret and his wife, Lorraine of Plano; daughters, Glenda Hunter and her husband, Barry, of Durant, Okla., and Rhonda White and her husband, Jerry, of Rowlett, Texas; brothers, Don V. of Augusta, Merrill of Conchas Dam, N.M. and Don Gene of Wichita; sister, Opal Ross of El Dorado, and a grandson, Justin White of Rowlett.

Edwin G. “Ted” Arnold, 84, Severy, father of Janie Harvey of Leon, died Monday at a Fredonia hospital.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Forsberg Funeral Home there. Rev. Paul Lynn will officiate and burial will be in the Twin Groves Cemetery in Severy.
He was born Aug. 8, 1899 in Piedmont to Moses and Margaret Herald Arnold.
He married Vera Gladson. She survives.
He was a retired grain dealer.
Other survivors include; a brother, Murray of Alamogordo, N.M.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Charles Price died Monday
Charles J. Price, 51, Augusta, died Monday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Wichita.
His service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. Richard Axmann will officiate and burial will be in the Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
He was born March 9, 1933 in London, Ark., to Charles W. and Rachel Estelle Gibson Price.
He married Mary Davis Rader Dec. 20, 1979 in Augusta. She survives.
He was an essembler at Cessna Aircraft Co.,
Other survivors include stepdaughters, Betty Davis, Brenda Davis, Vonda Davis, all of Augusta; mother, Rachel E. of Russellville, Ark.; brother, R.C. of Heavener, Okla., and a grandson, Brandon Davis of Augusta.
Helen Kunkle dies in Douglass
Helen M. Kunkle, 89, Douglass, died Sunday at the Douglass Nursing Center.
Her service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Highland Cemetery in Winfield. Rev. Dan Ferguson will officiate.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
She was born Aug. 11, 1895 in Honeywell to Dan and Mary Aldrice Ellsworth.
She married Ralph Kunkle. He preceded her in death in 1961.
Survivors include a stepson, Jack of Wichita; stepdaughter, Phyllis Jenkins of Bozeman, Mont., and a sister, Harriett Sanford of Wichita.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
