Shirley Crist , Augusta

Shirley Crist, 82, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and lifelong Augusta resident, passed Shirley Crist away Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011.
Visitation 4-6 p.m. Thursday and service 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Shirley was born in Augusta on Nov. 5,1928, the daughter of the late John Franklin and Helen (Burress) Wright. On June 3,1947 she married J. W. Crist in Augusta and he survives.
She is also survived by: sons, Dean Crist of Salina, and Dick Crist and his wife Camille of Wildwood, Mo.; grandchildren, Ryan Crist and wife Jill, Adam Crist, Erin Bryant and husband Matt, Sarah Davis and husband Mike, Andrew Crist and Jordan Crist; and great grandchildren, Emily, Megan,
Olivia, Ava and Tanner.
She was preceded in death by a sister Betty Hughes and her husband Morrie Hughes.
Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Women.

Marlene Mussat 60, Douglass

Marlene Marie Mussat, 60, book keeper,of Douglass,passed away,Tuesday, Aug. 30,2011 in Wichita.
Memorial service 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Marlene was bom in Lindsborg, Kan. on Aug. 15,1951, the daughter of the late Robert Eugene and Wanda Virginia "Ginger" (Lusk) Barry.
She is survived by: her long time companion, Shane Phillips; daughter, Amy Walker and husband Frank of Augusta; brother, John Barry and wife Karen of Wichita; sister, Penny Rib-ble Nelson and husband Mike of Anehiem, Calif.; half sister, Sharon Berry and husband Ken of Washington state; grandchildren Cody, Taylor, Morgan and Megan Walker.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Ruddick.
Memorials to the First Baptist Church.

Helene Irene (Curtis) McKay, 58, former floral designer, Wichita, passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2011.
Visitation 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center. Services 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at Country Acres Baptist Church, Wichita.
She is survived by: husband, Clifford McKay; stepson, James (Maria) McKay of Cleveland, Ohio; mother, Waneta McCullough of El Dorado; brother, Edwin (Pat) Curtis of El Dorado; sister, Elizabeth Morton of Augusta.
Preceded in death by her father, Murray Curtis and sister, Lora Faye "Frankie" Curtis.

Earl D. Crouse, 92, of Andover, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at the Kansas Medical Center.
There will be no service.
Survivors: son, David Crouse of Andover;r nieces, nephews and friends.
