Esther Dolores (Rumsey) Goss

Esther Dolores (Rumsey) Goss, 96, homemaker, passed away Thursday, September 8,2011 at Cottonwood Point in Augusta. Esther was bom Febru-, ary 13,1915 to Walter and Clara (Fleming) Rumsey in Emporia, Kansas.
She married Jack Frid Goss on September 29, 1934 in Emporia, Jack preceded her in death in 1988.
Survivors include her daughter Sally Scott of Bella Vista, Arkansas; daughter-in-law Pat Goss of Post Falls, Idaho; grandchildren Jill (Glenn) Hubbard, Fairfax, Virginia; Jack (Lori) Scott of Roeland Park, Kansas; Jerry (Carmen) Scott of Parkville, Missouri; Janie (Pat) Crocket of Fairway, Kansas; Shana (Greg) Smith of Port Gamble, Washington; 14 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Reed Goss, sister Eleanor Nelson, and son-in-law Keith Scott.
A memorial service will be held Monday, September 12, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at Cottonwood Point Assisted Living Center, 100 Cottonwood Point Lane, Augusta, Kansas 67010.
Memorials have been established with First Baptist Church of Augusta or Amedisys Hospice, both in care of the funeral home.


David Germann

David A. Germann, 65, of Andover, Big River Sand employee, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011.
Memorial service 10 am Monday, September 12, 2011 at Hope Community Church, Andover. David was born in Wichita, Kansas on June 6,1946, the son of the late Hubert and Ruby (Kellum) Germann.
He is survived by: wife, Kathryne of the home; son, Richad Germann of White Settlement, Tex.; daughter, Kimily Lawson of Euless, Tex.; brother, John Germann of Wichita; sister, Judy Bryan of Burlington; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
Memorials to the American Diabetes Association or The Kidney Foundation.
