H.D. ‘Bud’ Wilkins
95, AUGUSTA
H. D. 'Bud' Wilkins, 95, of Augusta, passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011.
Viewing 5-7 p.m. Tuesday and service 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5th, 2011, all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta.
Bud was born in Clyde, Kan. on May 16,1916, to the late Eugene and Clara (Price) Wilkins.
On Oct. 6,1936 he married Doris (Wagner) in Concordia and she preceded him in death on Jan. 31, 2008. Together they owned and operated Hilltop IGA in Wichita and Plaza IGA in Augusta until 1971. He served in the U.S. Navy as well. Bud enjoyed playing golf and traveling especially on his motorcycle.
He is survived by son, Paul Wilkins of Tupelo, Miss; daughter, Chris Kelley and her husband Jim of Augusta; 7 grandchildren, Michelle Owens, Becky Edson, Mary Jeffries, Joe Red-ington, Sarah Durrett, Tom Redington, and Shaun Redington; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorials to the LakePoint Assisted Living Memorial or to the donor’s choice. Arrangements by Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.

Billy Harrison Hattaway, 71, Augusta, passed away peacefully on Sept.
30, 2011, at the Robert J. Dole VA Hospice Unit in Wichita.
Visitation 5 to 8 p.m. on Tbesday; funeral at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, both at Lakeview Funeral Home, Wichita. Interment will follow at Green Valley Cemetery.
He was born on March 24,1940 in Elba, Ala. to his parents, O'Neal and Louise (Whitten) Hattaway, the oldest of four. Billy served in the U.S. Army for a short term.
In 1975, he married Wanda in Saltillo, Miss. He retired as a trailer mechanic in 1988. He could build anything with his hands. Billy was well liked and he especially enjoyed little kids.
He was an avid football fan, especially Alabama Crimson Tide.
Billy is survived by: his wife of 36 years, Wanda and their son, Timothy Hattaway of Augusta; three children from a previous marriage, Sandra Tolbert of Florala, Ala., Kenneth Hattaway of Opp, Ala., and Roxanne Stinson of Opp, Ala.; siblings, Jackie Richardson, Barbara Ivey, James Hattaway, all of Elba, Ala.; 12 grandchildren, and 9 greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Wilma S. Hamilton, age 91, formerly of Augusta, died Saturday, Oct.l, 2011.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct, 5, 2011, at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. Interment will be at 2 p.m., at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Buxton, Kan.
She is survived by: brother, Richard Stackley of Cottonwood Falls;
three sisters: Paula Fruci of Londonderry, NH, Mary Rachel Van Buren of Clements, and Marjorie Louise Scobee of Strong City; numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Rachel Irene Cheesman Stackley, and her husband, Oren Hamilton.
Memorial contributions to the Morris County Hospital Foundation may be sent in care of the funeral home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS. 66845.
