Father dies in Wichita
Erhard Mencke, 74, Wichita, father of Janice Smith of Augusta, died June Sunday at his home.
His service will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Broadway Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. N.N. Anton will officiate and burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Oatville.
He was born Feb. 11, 1910 in Hinton, Okla., to William and Sophie Stohs Mencke.
He married Desda Shadion in 1942. She survives.
He was a retired Beech Aircraft Co., machinist.
Other survivors include another daughter, Sue Nightengale of Wichita; three brothers, Fred of Binger, Okla., Raymond of Fort Worth, Texas, and Harry of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sisters, Paula Opitz of Hinton, Okla., and Irene Thomason of Tulsa, Okla., and three grandchildren.

Services Thursday for ex-Mobil accountant
Mark Allen Watson, 69, El Dorado, died Monday at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church there. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the church.
Watson was born Oct. 9, 1914 in Pennsylvania to Archibald and Maggie Dodd Watson.
He attended school in Augusta, receiving a master’s degree in journalism from Wichita University and later attending Princeton University.
He married Virginia Ault Dec. 2, 1944 in El Dorado. She survives.
During World War II, he served as a major in the U.S. Army.
He was a district accountant for Mobil Oil Company and worked in Augusta, Ellinwood, Great Bend, Shreveport, La., and Corpus Christi, Texas.
After his retirement from Mobil in 1977, he worked as personnel director for Walnut Valley State Bank in El Dorado.
He was a member of the
Masonic Lodge, the Yorkrite Bodies, the Butler County Historical Society, served as chairman of the March of Dimes and was Past Commander of the American Legion.
Other survivors include a sister, Grace Mouser of Wichita Falls, Texas, and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Andrews, Presley and Clarence preceded him in death.
Doris Goeken dies at 61
Doris Goeken, 61, rural Rose Hill, died yesterday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Services are pending at the Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita.
She was born Dec. 28, 1922 in Dakoma, Okla.
She married Alfred Goeken Nov. 3, 1942. He survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sandi Toepffer of rural Rose Hill and a grandson, Wes Chorn, Rose Hill.

Kleysteuber died Tuesday
Ray L. Kleysteuber Jr., 58, Collins, Mo., stepfather of Martin Junghanns of Leon, died Tuesday.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Offerle.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
He was a retired industrial engineer.
Other survivors include his wife, Nellie; a son, Gary of Littleton, Colo.; a daughter, Brenda Blake of Norristown, Pa.; stepdaughters, Bobbie Thompson of Gainesville, Fla., Judy
Martin of Wichita; mother, Katie of Offerle; brother, Paul of Karnack, Texas; sisters, Thelma Kurth of Offerle, Mildred Schwabauer of Collins, Marcella Jancef of Bridgeport, N.Y., and four grandchildren.
The McKillip Funeral Home in Kinsley is in charge of arrangements.
Rites Saturday for Doris Goeken
Services for Doris L. Goeken, 61, Rose Hill, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita.
She died Tuesday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred; a daughter, Sandra Edwards of Rose Hill; a brother, William Linfoot of Los Angeles, Calif., and a grandson, Wes Chorn of Rose Hill.
