Mary Lea Knox
71, ANDOVER
Mary Lea (Ater) Knox, 71 of Andover, lost her war with cancer which she waged a tough battle and fought bravely for 3 Yz years, on Wednesday, Nov. 30th, 2011.
Mary retired from Boeing after 20 years of service in 2000. She enjoyed all outdoor activities that didn't involve housework. But her pride and joy was her 52 Ford she received on her 50th wedding anniversary.
She was born on Nov. 1,1940 in Hutchinson, Kan. and left in 1959 when she married Gaiy. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1958 and attended Hutchinson Community College.
Her parents Fred and Virginia Ater and brother, George preceded her in death.
She is survived by: husband, Gary of 52 years; daughter, Kelley; son, Greg (Jo); granddaughters, Trisha, Ashley and Rebecca; also Bob, her old yellow cat.
A memorial service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, Augusta.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to Victory in the Valley cancer support group. Arrangements by Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.

80, AUGUSTA
Robert J. “Bob” Little, 80, of Augusta, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011. Viewing 1-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, at Robert Little Hillside Funeral Home East, Wichita. Viewing from noon until 2 p.m., with service at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the First Christian Church in Douglass. Burial will follow at the Douglass Cemetery.
Bob was born on Dec. 9,1930 in Derby. A retired self-employed business man and farmer, he enjoyed fishing and entertaining family and friends at their home on Grand Lake.
Bob was preceded in death by: his parents, daughter, Kay Ann Little and daughter, Teresa and son-in-law, Mike Lonberger; brothers, Lowell, Elwyn, Ernest, and Jim; sister Maratha Moore.
Bob is survived by: his wife, Virginia “Marlene”, whom he married on July 29,1950; son and daughter-in-law William “Bill” and Barbara Little of Augusta; daughter and son-in-law Polly J. and Nathan Knapp of Douglass; three granddaughters, one grandson, and six great-grand children; brothers, El-wood and wife Mary of Wichita, Duane and wife Leola of Douglass; sisters, Trudi Garvey and Margaret Polk of Emporia, Virginia Lamb of Vancouver, Wash., and Joyce Riggs and husband James of Fallbrook, Calif.; many nieces, nephews and friends, and foster daughters, Susan Miller of Wellington, and Alesha Haaga of Douglass.
Memorials to First Christian Church, Douglass, Douglass Senior Center,or Hospice of Kansas in Eldorado.
