Donald E. Kruetzer
78, COLWICH

Donald E. Kruetzer,78, retired farm manager of Fairleigh Feed Yard and U.S. Navy veteran, passed away Dec. 18, 2011.
Rosary and funeral mass were both held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colwich. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Survived by: wife, Shirley of Colwich; daughters, Pam (Tadd) Bloom of Goodland, Kari (Kim) Kimbro of Colwich; son, Tim (Beth) Kreutzer of Augusta; sisters, Evelyn Kuhlman of Dodge City, Marcele (John) Carr of Wichita, Judy (Ken) Renner of Boulder, Colo.; brothers, Bob (Jackie) Kreutzer of Kansas City, Mo., Bill Kreutzer of Wichita, Randy (Cindy) Kreutzer of Wichita; six grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren.
Memorials to Wichita Diocese Seminarian Fund or great-grandchildren’s education fund.

89, AUGUSTA

Charles Joseph ”Joe” Kidwell, 89, Augusta, passed away Tuesday, Dec.
20, 2011.
Service 10:30 am Friday,Dec. 23, 2011, at Headley Funeral Chapel,
Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Joe was born in rural TowandaonNov. 28,1922, the son of the late Charles and Zula (Darr) Kidwell.
He served in WWII 82nd Airborne 504 C Company, receiving a Purple Heart.
He retired in 1971 after 30 years as a still operator for Mobil refinery. Joe was a past Master and member of Mystic He Masonic Lodge #74, and member of Eastern Star, Wichita Shrine and York Rite. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and sport shooting. On Feb. 14, 1947he married Jean Marie Hart in Wichita and she survives.
He is also survived by: son, Mike Kidwell and wife Suncha of Derby; grandchildren, Luke Kidwell, his wife Ashley and their children Chloe and Bentley, Wichita, Abby Kidwell, Wichita; step grandchildren Stacy Singleton, London and Stuart Singleton, Wichita.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Marilyn Jean Kidwell; brothers, Don, Dean and Kenneth; sisters, Olga Demart and Ellen Demart.

Dick Stevens
64, POTWIN

Dickie L. “Dick” Stevens, 64, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 20,
2011, at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dick Stevens Dec. 23,
2011, at the Potvvin United Methodist Church, with visitation from noon until service time. Interment will follow at Sunset Lawns Cemetery, El Dorado.
He was bom in Augusta, on Oct. 9,1947, the son of Lee and Edna Webb Stevens. On March 17,
1973, he married May Frye at Augusta. He was retired after 27 years of service with Sherwin-Williams Manufacturing Plant, where he was a paint batch mixer.
He was preceded in death by his son, Christian Stevens; brothers, Jimmie, W. H., and Fred Stevens; sisters, Edna Rumsey and Donna Chrisman.
He is survived by: wife, May Stevens of the home; children:, Monica Patterson and husband Shawn of Vidor, Texas, and Jesse Stevens and wife Angie of Wichita; sisters, Sue Stevens of El Dorado, and May Jane Patterson of Tupelo, Miss.; six grandchildren, Elysa Bradshaw, David Holton, Allyson Holton, Zion Stevens, Noah Stevens, and Steven Ridpath.
A memorial fund has been established for the Potvvin United Methodist Church in care of Lamb Funeral Home, 120 S Main, Whitewater, KS, 67154.
